The grounds and staff were exceptional. The rooms were spacious.

The furnishing could use updating. Bed would have greatly benefitted from mattress pads. There were so few furnishings in the living area that we just used the bedroom and kitchen. Condiments like oil, vinegar, salt and pepper would have been appreciated.

Location was perfect! Short walk to the beach and a bit longer walk into town. Very quiet, peaceful and relaxing environment. Loved listening and watching all the different birds. A little piece of paradise!

Casa del Sol is very beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are well kept and there are many beautiful lily ponds, fruit trees, and decorative gardens. The number of birds we saw & heard from our balcony was incredible. The pool is clean and a great place to enjoy the sun. The building has only 4 suites so you feel like you have the place to yourself. The room was large with a king-sized bed, full-sized fridge & kitchenette. The sound of the ocean waves lulled us to sleep. The beach is a short walk via a path through the jungle next to the property. We booked this room after a last-minute decision to stay a few days longer in Lo de Marcos. We will definitely return if there is availability. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

Nothing could make this place better. It's perfect! The only thing we didn't like was that our vacation was over and we had to head home.

The property and garden was lovely and quiet, close to the jungle and close to the beach. It was a pleasant one mile walk to the town plaza. We loved the birds, butterflies and foliage. The "studio" was spacious, clean and we could hear the waves at night. The kitchen was not well stocked for cooking but it was possible. A large filtered water jug was provided and the maid service was every other day and excellent. It was very clean- both inside and the grounds.

It was difficult to find out where to pick up the key- at a trailer park office down the road. The directions were not clear but our taxi made several phone calls for us and we finally located the person with the key. We were unable to contact the property representative except by walking to the trailer park office down the road. I wish we had a better stove and cooking utensils- the maid kindly got us a chef's knife that was sharp! The bed was comfortable.
