Location: The property was in great location between hotel district zone and central Tulum. Staff: The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to the receptionists Fancisco and Yasmani and the waiter Manuel. There was another waiter (sorry I never caught his name) but he went above and beyond. We were up on the roof cabana and the stairs to go up is quite scary especially when having fear of heights. The poor waiter, despite his fears of heights served our food but he was shaken and didn’t look well afterwards. We felt bad as we were more than happy to come down to have the food instead. The cleaning staff were all super friendly and always had a smile on their face.

The key to the hotel room was a wrist band which can be lost if not taken care of properly. Their rental bikes, especially the yellow ones are not the best. There is no gear change, bell doesn’t work and no light. If renting the bike, try and get the grey ones. Breakfast: Although breakfast was fairly decent, it was the same every day and there was not that much variety of options. But overall it was still alright.

Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in !! Great view from the roof

The breakfast is a joke, don’t take it. There are a lot of great breakfasts / brunches near the hotel (less than 5 min walk). The breakfast at Naala was 7€ for activa yogurt, few fruit and coffee.. The staff not nice either… They gave us an avocado toast for breakfast by mistake (not included) and we thought it was included as we didn’t know the breakfast menu, so we ate it and then they came and told us it was a mistake and that we need to pay for it ! At the end we didn’t but I don’t like this type of behavior.

Decent location for town and the ruins etc. pool area was nice

When we checked I was told I could park out at the front for free. I parked up and asked the porter if it was ok. He said yes. About an hour later we were told the car was about to be towed by the police. It transpires that cars should be parked at a certain angle so the neighbouring restaurant thought I was using the space illegally. He actually helped my sort it with the police (costing me a £10 bribe to save a £200 towing fee!). The poster could have avoided all of this with a bit more care.

We are a family of 4 and we stayed here for 5 nights in one of the rooms for 4 persons on the ground floor. Booked completely last minute without any research and were pleasantly surprised with our stay. - great value for money - great location, short drive to beach and easy walk to the centre, close to many restaurants and great supermarket. - clean, great shower - garage parking - friendly staff, easy communication - beach towels available for free - haven't tried breakfast but there is a fantastic french bakery right in front of the hotel where we had coffee and breakfast every morning - lovely rooftop pool area. We loved the beaches in Tulum so much that we haven't used the pool at all but we went up once just to see it and it looked nice. Sunsets must be really pretty from up there.

- beds are really small - the hotel is quite noisy. There is a huge construction site right next to the hotel. Literally a new hotel being built in front of our bedroom, maybe 20 meters away. Construction would start at around 7am and it would be over by 5pm. A part from the construction noise, music and people partying can be heard quite a lot during the night. We did not care as we sleep like babies during night and we were out 99% of the day but if you are a light sleeper, like to sleep longer than 7 am or imagine spending a quiet afternoon on your balcony this is probably not the place for you.

The staff were friendly and helpful booking tours and giving recommendations for different things to do in tulum. The bed was comfy and shower was good. The hotel had a nice vibe and although we didn’t use it the pool looked great.

There was a water garden in the courtyard which looked lovely but seemed to be a haven for mosquitos as we got bitten so much staying here. The breakfast was good but often ran out of certain items so could’ve been better.

The pool was so beautiful. The room was very large, nicely decorated and appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was big with very nice toiletries. The staff were very helpful. The garden area and entry were lovely places to sit. It was near some great restaurants and cafes. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Naala Tulum.

The railings on the rooftop area need some attention.

Where to start? After flying over 20hrs+ from Australia, Naala Tulum exceeded all our expectations! They had the comfiest marshmallow soft beds you ever slept on at a hotel, rooftop pool with multiple sun beds (in and out of the pool) and cabanas, working elevators, and the loveliest staff members, who were very helpful with all our needs, especially when it comes to local transportation other than using Taxis. The rooms were spacious and thoroughly cleaned every day (inc fresh towels and beds made). Kitchenette comes with a full size fridge and large sink. Each room in our 2-bedroom room had a balcony, with two of the balconies overlooking the center garden in the hotel where there's water flowing and music playing. Would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Tulum.

Just a note, and not specific to Naala Tulum but just an overall note for Tulum in general - there are a lot of construction happening around Tulum overall, so you might hear some of the neighbouring construction noises during the day. But again, not a critique on the hotel... there is literally construction happening everywhere.

Entire property was designed in boho style which is typical for Tulum. We really felt a zen vibes there, especially in their garden. The rooftop pool was great, during hot days maybe way too warm water in the pool but that depends on the individual preferences:) Each day we got fresh towels and HSK made a bed as well (this is in regards of some reviews I had read), so cannot complain. Location is good too - obviously you’re paying way less compared to beach front hotels in Tulum, but hotel is basically among the last ones in the town area on the way to the beach side (15min by bike).

Nothing I can think of.

Very much liked the pleasant surroundings within the hotel, its central courtyard garden layout and appreciated that the room had sufficient, thoughtfully located electrical outlets and lighting. Plus enjoyed the rooftop lounge areas and pools. The restaurant directly in front of the hotel is extremely convenient for breakfast through dinner serving lovely dishes at reasonable prices. Location was great and walkable to other restaurants, a large supermarket, shops and 7-Eleven and OXXO for quick grab and go items.

1. Extremely loud music throughout the night - a Saturday night making it hard to sleep well; music not heard during the Sunday and Monday nights that we stayed. 2. Could not get shower to deliver hot water. 3. Rooftop restaurant food and drinks priced too high; would have utilized more if prices were more reasonable compared to those available nearby.
