The service at the hotel was excelent, the room was clean and confortable.

When I arrvied at the hotel the reservation was not registered, it took almost one hour to provide me a room. I also made change in my reservation from 3 days to two. The hotel informed I needed to contact Booking for approval. I thinkl this should be automatic.

There is a misunderstanding regarding ocean view rooms. Some of them face the road and you can see a portion of the ocean and according to them, this is a room with a sea view. Which clearly was not. Ask for an ocean view if you are renting for it on booking or you will need to clarify the situation.

The map given by Booking.com link was wrong and went us to the opposite side of the boardwalk. The hotel is located at the far end of the boardwalk (malecón). The rooms were nice and spacious, the only positive, so if you stay put in your room, you'll have a great stay.

The place looks like a convention center converted into a hotel. Nobody greeted us at the door, as we parked outside. The reservation was not found (a Booking.com error), the lobby is vast and poorly decorated. I've lived in Mexico for 35 years, have been to every state, and believe that Coatzacoalcos is one of the ugliest cities! It used to be better just 5 years ago. The malecón is terrible. The streets are full of potholes, as is the toll road leading to Veracruz.

In general the staff was friendly and courteous.

The property is in general state of disrepair. So much so it made me feel a bit sad regarding what the property might have been like sometime in the past. Another observation- the toilets in the lobby restrooms all lacked toilet seats. Seatless toilets are ubiquitous in public restrooms but in the lobby of a Holiday Inn property? I requested a single bed room. I got two double beds. The woman that checked us in neglected to tell us where the room was located and where the elevators were located. Finally the first night of our stay the hotel hosted some sort of event. Early in the evening there was raucous noise coming from the the rooms adjacent to our room- music, yelling and crashing sounds. In knew when the event started because that was when the loud music thundered throughout the property and it continued until 2am.

The gym is awful. It is too hot. Not many healthy options for breakfast.

Old hotel not well maintain. Bleached paints, traces of moisture with odor. Sea view not at all as expected, lateral view on the beach, on the roads and town not on the sea.
