The staff were great and our room was clean. Tv, remote, and ac all worked. The bed was extremely comfortable, which was so nice after so many not so comfortable beds.

When we first arrived, we weren't sure if the place was open. The building is in need of some updates. The flooring in our room was a wood laminate that was extremely water damaged and buckled.

The staff was super friendly! We were traveling with a dog and they made the check-in very easy after a long day of travel. The area around the hotel was safe and the bed was very comfortable!

The towels could be replaced with new ones.

It was perfect for our overnight stay. Desk clerk was friendly and efficient and spoke excellent english. Very clean with comfortable bed. There was a security guard outside in the early morning, so presume the parking was secure. Would definitely stay here again.

They have hot water for showers.

The pool is next door. Booking.com said there's a hot tub. There isn't. The phone didn't work. The TV control didn't work. Basically the building, beds, and water is nice. After that, the other hotels I've stayed at in Coatza are better.

- Extremely dated and dilapidated room/bathroom - Loud, old air conditioning unit - View of the parking lot and a strip mall - Everything just feels very tired and half broken - DON’T BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS: We saw a bunch of glowing reviews on booking about this hotel which is what made us choose it. After staying here we have concluded that the only possible explanation is that these reviews are bought. It looks nothing like the photos and frankly, it’s not a very nice place to stay unless you like dated mediocre chain hotels in the middle of tumbleweeds strip malls in petroleum towns. Take the reviews with a pinch of salt. - PET “FRIENDLINESS” We were travelling with a dog - booking said it was pet friendly and “extra charges may apply” so we messaged the property to advise them in advance that we would be coming with a dog, they replied saying that we needed a health certificate from our vet (as we booked this a day before and were already on the road I messaged them back saying that wouldn’t be possible and received no further response). We arrived, checked in, no vet paperwork was mentioned, we went to our room (honestly we were very disappointed as we thought we would “treat ourselves” to a more expensive hotel for a nice bath and some nicer amenities but even though it was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our road trip so far it’s been the worst). We showered and while in our towels, about an hour after we arrived got a call in our room saying we would need to come downstairs and pay $500 pesos extra for the dog… that’s half the total price of the room, and this was the first time that was communicated to us, despite the fact that I emailed in advance. We asked to speak to the manager but he was already gone for the day so we decided to postpone the conversation until checkout the following day. By that point the sun was already setting and we didn’t want to drive around looking for another place to stay in petrol country.
