A very pleasant overnight stay after a long travel day. The staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. The beds were comfortable and we had a good hot shower. Breakfast is extensive and makes the room even better value. The location is excellent right in the centre and easy to access. The hotel has charming architectural features from a previous era. We really appreciated the service from the doorman.

The hotel needs some improvements, it could be better! A small cockroach appeared in our room, we called the bellboy and in less than 3 minutes, he took care of it. The rooms don't have hairdryers, you need to leave a $100 pesos deposit in order to get one.

Old school hotel, just the way I like it. Old but refurbished and up to date. Lovely. I talked to a maid and I she said there were I can't remember how many hundred rooms. Like the Overlook in Shining, just much friendlier! I had a spacious room next to the top floor (elevator came in handdy for me with hernia and a way too big suitcase, but I like heights!) It's close to the city centre, just a few blocks away. The breakfast is the best I've ever had in any hotel in any country. You pay an extra dollar or two, but it's most definitely worth it. It's a buffet. The food is hot and tasty, with choices for veggies and carnivores alike.

Great location, excellent buffet breakfast, spacious quiet room (415), plenty of hot water and ice cold ac. Very clean. What more could you ask? A little dated but everything is much better than average. Would definitely recommend and would stay again on another visit.

The staff goes out of their way to meet the guest's needs; in addition to being kind and resourceful.

Therr eres some problema with connectivity, at times in the bussiness center.

We had a king room at the back with a great view off the city and mountains beyond. Bed was comfy and room was spotless and cleaned every day. All the staff were lovely and the breakfast was fantastic. Great hotel bar next door serving decent food.

Nothing, all good.

The restaurant service is usually good, with a variety of different dishes to meet the customer's palate and taste. The service is warm and efficient. I particulary like the traditional Xalapeño cuisine, like the sauces and antojitos.

I wish I had had more time to enjoy the meal, however, I did enljoy what I had while I was there. Nothng to do with the reaturant service, food or personneel, it was my lack of time.

The hotel and room were clean and comfortable with helpful and attentive staff. I arrived early and was allowed to check in to my room early at no extra cost. Great location.

Decor is a bit dated. My reservation said ‘city view’ but I had a view of the inner courtyard/other peoples’ windows. The room was quite low on natural light and could also have benefitted from some softer lighting, such as reading lamps.

How noisy this location is due to so much traffic. Windows don’t block noice at all.
