The location kiddy corner to medical center and the location to oxxo for our purpose for medical visit I would rate it 10/10 the gal at the front desk was above and beyond for Me when we had trouble connecting to internet she came to room right away to help and most of all she spoke perfect English to me as I don’t speak Spanish but all in all I would stay there again ps the shower head in our room was wow I wish I would have had more time in shower but there was 3 of us in our room so time Restricted

I wish they had at least a folding coffee table as I did not get side of bed that had night table and miner but it would have been to have at least one face cloth in bathroom and I wanted to use pool but it did not look as good as what we saw in picture but that is very miner thing for me as have been at the beach every day in playa Del Carmen

My recent stay at Hotel Mody was truly exceptional, and I can recommend it! From the moment I arrived, the level of service was outstanding. I felt completely safe and secure throughout my stay, which is a huge peace of mind when traveling. This sense of security, combined with the staff's constant readiness to assist, creates a truly comfortable and worry-free environment. A particular highlight was their remarkable flexibility with my check-in time. I arrived an hour earlier than anticipated, and without any hesitation or fuss, they were incredibly accommodating, allowing me to settle in right away. This level of understanding and guest-centric approach is a testament to their commitment to ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for every visitor. Hotel Mody truly goes above and beyond!

The dining hall is only accessible to a selected group of people who, I presume, reside at the hotel it was not open for use. But, overall, it was great!!!

The Parkin lot

Very nice place, very well placed! Perfect accomodation for little money! For us the best from all accomodations in Mexico!

Super comfortable beds, daily cleaning, nice staff, affordable price, great flat screen TVs, spacious bathroom, pretty quiet during the night, OXXO 1 block away, lovely food cooked to order by Señor Emilio downstairs to the right of the entrance (as you’re walking out of the hotel). Taqueria el amigo Carlos round the corner is sensational too! Overall great for the price if you don’t wish to be directly downtown.

I stayed here for a total 8 days and found it pretty good in most respects for the price. However, the window to the walkway was broken and I only realised on the 3rd day, which was fixed by a wooden dowel. Luckily nothing was taken from my room. There is a tiny shelf/wardrobe area that is unusable as a desk, so if you’re looking for a work set up be aware. The pool looked uninviting and there was a dog turd on the astroturf poolside. At one point (inconveniently mid-hair wash) the shower water just turned off, but the sink tap still worked so I could escape the suds. The location is 30 mins to downtown but I personally didn’t find downtown too interesting anyway.

+ Hotel is new and clean (they'll clean your room every day if you want) + Excellent shower pressure with hot water + Beds and pillows are new and super comfortable + Aircon is very efficient + Room has enough space for 1-2 people + Staff were happy to help, some of them spoke a little English too + Fair price for a hotel (we paid 23€/night in January 2023) + WiFi is ok and works most of the time + Felt very safe, close enough to city (~30 min walk) + Easy to catch buses/colectivos or taxis on the road

- They are still building and remodeling - Lots of noice from the above - Sadly this wasn't communicated on booking.com (would have booked somewhere more quiet) - Pool is way too small, more for just dipping (looked bigger on pics) - Pool area is not super nice for hanging out - Soundproofing of the room is very bad, you can hear everything from the corridors (bring earbuds) - Windows are facing to the courtyard/on a wall in some rooms so not nice to have curtains open - Nowhere to hang your clothes in the room - No fridge in the room! :( - WiFi cuts out sometimes

It was worth the price. The staff was super friendly, it was clean and quiet. We where out all day and only used it for going to sleep, so it was good enough for that.

The parking was too small and not well defined, I was afraid that someone would bump in to my car while trying to get out/in. We didnt get a shower mat/towell (for on the floor) so after getting a shower it was always messy and wet. There is nowhere to put yur suitcase but on the floor.

It was clean and modern.

We like the fact that is was in one of the main avenues of Merida. The building seem clean.

We didn’t like the room being too dusty, could not take our shoes off and step with out shoes or socks. They should have given us a clean room. And the beds eere super hard, we woke up with hurt backs. Other then that it was good stay.

Location didn’t have good facilities for breakfast. My purpose of the trip was medical reason and was quite. Distance from the hospital. But otherwise good no table and microwave was in the room.

That we couldn’t have a warm cup of tea and eat properly In the room other than sit on the bed. A microwave or a teapot or coffeemaker is needed in the room.
