Beautiful Riad. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room, with the riad’s sitting and dining area great to relax in. Sometimes with a mint tea after our exploring! We also used the roof a lot - had a couple of days when we did a little less sight seeing and prioritised reading and resting on the roof. Riad Jamai is situated near the edge of the medina so making it easy both to explore the medina fully by foot, and also if you want to use the Petit Taxi it’s easy to get a taxi from or to other gates. Don’t miss the bustling local streets - the Andalusian Mosque and Tanneries are close by, and the shops and stalls have a different feel near the riad (fewer tourists). Further in, we enjoyed the Nejjarine wood crafts museum and the Al-Atterine Madrassa in the old town - as well as specific souks (such as the henna souk). Also a little further out but still quite local are the Marinid tombs. We organised 2 trips out through Riad Jamai (Volubilis/Meknes; Mid Atlas) which was a lovely way to explore. Recommend also a trip to the new town (we tried a hammam) and if you are interested in the working equids of Fes the American Fondouk (veterinary care for donkeys, mules and horses) is open to the public 8-12 on weekdays, is a short taxi drive away, and is also near the Jewish Quarter - which was well worth the visit. V We found Riad Jamai a friendly, helpful and very beautiful spot to do so much exploring from with great breakfasts and when we wanted to eat in that was wonderful too. I was with my mum and we were visiting my niece - the final night we had my niece and some of her friends over and we had a great meal there on our last night.

I would definitely recommend this riad, it was amazing. The staff, Maryam, Ayoub and Khajida were so helpful and attentive. Maryam was lovely to be around and was always helpful, letting us know when to order food and so on. Ayoub was lovely, he helped me and my mother a lot with our luggage and breakfast. The breakfast was amazing, the dinner in the evening was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend the beef tagine. They also have a masseuse which was amazing and the massages was superb. The riad was perfect, and me and my mother really enjoyed our time there. We would definitely stay there again. It was good value for money

The only thing me and my mom didn’t like was that the A/C didn’t work in our room.

It has been a wonderful stay! The staff are very friendly and the room are better than the picture!! My room was the double suite Curry and it was very nice! The breakfast was varied with different products and it wasn't the same every day, so you get an alternative. The Riad location is not that easy to find but we found a good man who helped us. There is a parking nearby the Riad if you have a car. They have a tour guide too because the Medina is like a maze! What I can say more? Fez has my heart ❤️

The staff was super friendly and helped with everything. Also very easy to get in contact with other guests so after three days it already felt like coming home. The pool is very refreshing after a day in the medina. Also the rooftopterrace has beautiful views over the city and good to relax. The room was nice with AC. It is in the east of the medina so its a bit further walk to the mean street, but the area where the riad is, is less touristy so its just what you look for. Also a taxi to the blue gate is super cheap so you have a lot of options. Me and my mum loved our stay! Thank you so much Meryem and the other staff.

Lots of stairs to our room, but close to the rooftopterrace!

we love all, the moment we step out foot into the property its a big WOW. dont judge from the outside. beautiful design, beautiful pool, beautiful people. Our kids in love with this riad. Yassin and partner was so kids with kids, the play, talk and respect kids. they were soft spoken, easy to talk with and speak your language very well with a nice accent. the room? spacious, located at level 3, there no elevator but they willing to help you with lugagge. the view from room straight to the main hall was nice, calm and cosy inside the riad. We sleep like a log. We shower like a mermaid in their big bath tub that can fit all of us.

none.

Fantastic historic house. Lots of space, big rooms. Fabulous courtyard with a pool. Roof terrace with a view over medina. The house is cool even without A/C. Still - bear in mind that it was built 700 years ago so there are always bits and pieces that need repairs.

The locks on the rooms don’t work although security is not an issue. The tap in our bathroom (Menthe) required repairs. The rooms are not soundproof (its an old house) but then again the house is really quiet

very friendly staff; special thanks to Assia who helped us a lot during our stay, picking us up from the taxi drop and advising for restaurant and for the guide. beautiful place with spacious rooms; you feel the Moroccon culture

Riad is not accessible by car in reality (streets around are in the medina and full of people) so don’t trust google maps and get a tip to stop nearby noisy and thin walls giving the impression of lack of privacy; breakfast could be richer

after an initially slightly traumatic drive through the world's busiest market I was welcomed by the nicest possible committee of beautiful ladies and immediately felt at ease, even though I arrived quite late they still made me a delicious dinner and really I can only say positive things about my stay there.

Amazing staff, excellent breakfast and super view from upstairs. Excellent value for money and would stay again in Fes.

Location was good if you’re looking for something a bit ‘out of the way’. Not central by any means but great if you want something with a bit of character outside of the city, we felt safe in the daytime and night.

Beautiful Riad, our room was very spacious and clean! We enjoyed the cool pool after a hot day, and the terrace views at sunset. The staff were lovely and helped arrange an early morning taxi and take away breakfast for us. We also used the laundry service and our clothes were so soft!
