If you're by car and exploring different spots, it's not necessary to pay extra to stay in the city center of Tangier, because this is a more affordable option and it has a central location to go to Tetouan (1h30), Cap Spartel (25 minutes), Rabat (2h30), and Tangier city center (25 minutes). Souhaila (Front Office) was the most friendly receptionist we had during our entire trip (we stayed in three different hotels). The rooftop pool was great to spot the sunset. We only stayed for one night, unfortunately, to catch a flight the next morning, but we had a great experience. The hotel is clean, it has a good menu, it's close to the airport, it's very affordable, the people are very friendly; really great value for money! Bonus: they prepared take-away breakfast for us, because we had to leave very early, which we really appreciated. Thanks for caring so much!

The mattresses slide too easily; the shower is open and the toilet door is a little bit transparent, this is good for a couple but not for people who are just sharing a room.

I had a wonderful experience at the Diagonal Hotel. The decor is beautiful and modern, everything is clean, breakfast is a la carte and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality from the staff. Yasmina, in particular, was a standout—she was not only super helpful but also incredibly kind, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay. The rooms are nothing short of spectacular. They exude luxury, comfort, and elegance—honestly, they made me feel as though I were staying in a 5-star resort. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a perfect retreat. The kitchen and breakfast experience were truly royal! The selection was abundant and delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection. It was the ideal way to start the day, and I felt like I was indulging in something special each morning. The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable. It’s ideally situated, offering easy access to everything while still providing a sense of peace and tranquility. But what truly takes the experience to another level is the rooftop—oh my goodness! The panoramic view of Tangier from up there is absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the city. The room was very comfortable and quiet, even facing the road which had considerable traffic. Good food at the restaurant and good service, Parking is comfortable and easy to access. Great response from reservations manager to my comments in Booking.com. It shows they care and want to give customers a good service!

Still under construction on the ground floor. We walked into a construction area and there was no clear indication that we had to go in through the garage. We could not enjoy breakfast because we were informed it was starting 6:30am but the restaurant was still closed at 6:45am. The total price was almost 11€ higher due to the exchange rate used by the hotel at the time of check-out, even though the charge was done in Euros. Not a big issue but still different.

The hotel is well placed for access to and from the airport. The restaurant was very smart and modern with a great outdoor dining area where we had breakfast.. The roof top was an Ideal place to relax by the pool on our last day whilst waiting to go to the airport. The room was very comfortable and modern. The biggest attraction of the hotel was the staff, I had interaction with the restaurant staff who were extremely polite and efficient. The most important and positive experience we had was with the reception staff (Wiam and Yasmina ) who on 2 occasions went to exceptional lengths to help us and resolve a couple of issues, they were absolutely fabulous.

We made the mistake of sleeping with the bedroom window open not realising that there were mosquitos outside, which of course meant that eventually there were mosquitos inside. The bedroom did have air conditioning and so this was completely our mistake.

The Diagonal Hotel is a perfect place to stay near the airport. We stayed for one night before an early flight, but it was great to be so close for the early morning wake up. We were able to for a nice stroll around the nearby neighborhood and enjoyed the great views from the rooftop. The dinner at the hotel was fantastic and a great way to have one last meal of Morocco specialties. We left too early to try the breakfast. We also didn't use the pool, but the views were great and the water felt comfortable. The staff was very nice and helped arrange us a taxi for our early morning departure.

Nice modern new hotel close to the airport. There’s a pool and bar at the rooftop its new hotel. Comfy bed and nice warm shower. We ate at the rooftop and the food was okay.

We didn’t like the noise from the band singing it’s until 10:30pm our room was on the 3rd floor and we can hear the footsteps when they dance and too loud when they sing. The room front door, window and the room itself are not soundproof so you can hear people closing their doors. A bit pricey for a night

We booked this hotel last minute because it was close to the airport. No problems with checking in one anything other. There is a guarded parking lot for a small price. Everybody was so friendly. We even got a free room upgrade. This room was huge! So pretty with all the necessities. An elegant, beautiful room. The bathroom too, amazing shower. We loved it. Because of our early checkout, the staff prepared our breakfast for take-away. That was really welcome. Absolutely would book this place again!

The hotel was exceptional. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything one could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great breakfast and rooftop. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the staff. They were incredibly polite, accommodating, and friendly, making me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment I arrived. Their attentive service and warm demeanor made my stay all the more enjoyable.

The only downside was the distance from the city center. While I managed to navigate this using a local taxi app, having a rented car would have been more convenient.Overall, my time at the hotel was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a superb hotel experience, especially if you're prepared for a bit of extra travel to the city center.
