Majestic desert vistas, gentle balmy zephyrs, and starry nights await you in nicely-designed, well-appointed A-frame style units, whose color and design blend well with the landscape. A shaded sitting area and patio at the entrance made a nice spot from which to view the gorgeous sunsets. Efficient air-conditioning and good water pressure make life nice as well. The units are strung out in a gentle curve away from the reception, sufficiently spaced such that any noise from neighbors doesn't intrude. Good WiFi serves the reception and a separate shaded bar/snack area atop a small koppie a short walk away, from which you can enjoy endless desert views out over the pool and beyond.

- The place is beautiful, you will enjoy it with no issues or regrets - the surrounding mountains and sunsets are stunning - the place is close to the gate of the national park leading you to Sossusvlei

- we recommend staying 1 or 2 nights max. Arrive, sleep, visit Sossusvlei the next morning, come home around noon or early afternoon, relax, sleep, leave. The reason being that there’s really nothing else to do but to stay in your room or by the pool. It’s very remote. - we booked 3 nights at first (which ended up being one night too many for our taste), but the strict cancellation policy made it impossible for us to change that after we booked. - a bit too pricey for value in our opinion

Our favorite stay in Namibia! Comfortable, spacious cabins in an incredibly beautiful landscape. The staff members were great, the star-gazing amazing and they offered a delicious self-bbq menu that we had a blast making one evening. You will not be disappointed booking this place!

Just 2 fixable issues that made it fall just shy of a perfect stay - 1) the outdoor trash cans didn’t lock and/or weren’t emptied at night (even though we were told they would be), so the local wildlife had at them each night leaving a mess for guests to pick up in the mornings and 2) a couple of camping chairs would have gone a long way for a comfortable place to sit outside of the cabin to gaze at the desert and stars.

The room and lodge are designed to give an overall feeling of a high-end glamping experience - everything needed for a good night sleep in a very minimalistic setting. Comfortable bed, nice spacious room and bathroom. Everything impeccably clean. Very nice dinner/breakfast buffet selections at the sister Sossusvlei Lodge a few minutes away by car (alternatively they also provide a very good food/meat selection for grilling outside the room). Note it is owned by the same group running Etosha Village so there are a lot of similarities between the two places. Wonderful night skies.

Not a fan of open bathroom/shower spaces.

The Camp is part of a bigger groups of lodges, most notably the Sossusvlei Lodge. Desert Quiver felt like our private exclusive section of that group. We could use the facilities of the Sossusvlei Lodge and have dinner in their fabulous restaurant and return afterwards to our more remote exclusive part of the desert. The pool was lovely after a long day of traveling, the rooms generous and clean and the staff were a dream. I would also highly recommend doing the Sossosvlei tour. It was really well done, with a lot of love and attention to detail and the ending with a wonderful breakfast picnic under the camelthorn trees was an absolute highlight.

The toilet in the room doesn’t have a door but is hidden behind a wall. It’s not a big problem but it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re shy.

Quiver is like an annex camp to the main lodge. All meals are served at the main lodge. (We did not use their braai and self catering options. ) On the 2nd evening, we experienced heavy rain resulting in dinner not being served outside under the stars. The staff at Sossuavlei lodge were very professional in quickly rearranging tables and buffet inside. Very impressed that, even although we were staying at Quiver, a table was reserved and allocated for us. We booked an excursion at the main lodge and this was excellent.

The camp is a short drive from Sossusvlei ideal to be able to get there when the gates open. It is self catering but you can have breakfast at the hotel a short drive down the road towards Sossusvlei. We did this and it worked very well. We ordered a BBQ pack which had everything we needed for dinner and if needed you can order breakfast too. The room was lovely and comfortable with a terrace and outdoor kitchen to watch the sunset from. The pool bar is a nice place to have a drink and the views are lovely.

Our accommodation was stunning! We loved all the rock formations nearby. It's close to Gate 1 I'm Sossusvlei. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice, with a good view for sunset. We saw some cute jackals!

We didn't realize that there were 2 gates to enter the park. The second gate opens an hour before sunrise and after sunset. But the first gate opens AT sunrise and closes at sunset. So we had to go later. Nothing to do with the accommodation though. We were still very happy with everything.

This was my favorite place that we stayed in Namibia. It was such a stunning and unique location that felt very relaxing. The kids loved climbing all over the rocks and running around, and it was very convenient for Sossusvlei. The restaurant close by had really good food.

Other reviews are right that the jackals come at night and have a go at the outdoor bins if you leave food in them, but we weighed the lids down with stones, and they didn’t get in.

Very beautiful location, comfortable bed and room

If you cook, during the night the jackals drop and open the rubbish bin littering such a beautiful environment. It's quite disappointing that they don't have a system to lock the lid of the bins. There should be a small table in the room because when there is strong and freezing wind in winter it is impossible to have breakfast or dinner outside. Old Kitchen equipment should be replaced
