We weren't told that the two camps were linked and that all meals would be at the Elegant Desert Lodge and that we would have a 10 min drive for meals. It wasn't a problem for us but would have been nice to know before we got there. We weren't told to check in at the Lodge first. Wasn't a fan of the food.

The location of the desert camp is absolutely stunning. Views across the desert to nearby mountains with oryx and mountain zebras. Can watch sunset directly from the deck and can see the light from sunrise reflected across the landscape. Tents themselves are pretty simple but they are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable with mosquito net and there is hot running water. There is a great shared bar/terrace/pool area colocated alongside the tents with a stunning view. Staff friendly and helpful.

I think there are a couple of minor additions you could make to the facilities in the tents which would improve the stay - a fan would be good and perhaps a small fridge - it can get pretty hot in the tents in the afternoon sun. It was approximately a 15 min drive down to the main lodge for breakfast and dinner, which to be honest did not bother us and food was good quality when we got there, but I feel like this could be made clearer during booking.

Dinner under the stars was spectacular (we didn’t have to drive to the lodge as others have mentioned in the comments)! The location of the camp is amazing. Sunsets from the pool and the bar are impressive. Hendrick at the desert camp made sure we had everything we could ask for.

It would have been good if there were a mosquito net to take outside - we tried rolling the bed onto the terrace to sleep outside, but it was impossible with all the mosquitoes.

The staff was really a team and the lodge was managed by a very active woman Yvonne where you could see that she takes care of her clients as well her staff

We stayed in the camp which is 7 km located from the lodge. There is no shuttle service between camp and lodge so you need your own transport for breakfast/ diner. It is not something we did not like but it is good to know. The worden floor of the balcony and tent is an aspect that should be checked as the wood is soft and fragile in places due to the elements of the weather.

Relative seclusion! The cliff top pool! Sunsets! We discovered a winery in the neighborhood 🍷 Little distance to Dunes 😍 The camp caretakers Henrique and ? so sorry. One night my neighbor tent mistakenly left their light on shining into my stargazing 🔭 and tent, these gentlemen awoke and kindly ensured the light was turned off! Beyond the accommodation was the 50th Birthday Celebrations the team gifted me with inclusive of special private table, huge chocolate delicious cake and deluxe musical experience 🤗

I loved everything about this place. The bed you could push outside, the food was amazing, the staff (Charmaine was so sweet), the location, the views Everything I’m going to need you to please share that Asparagus soup recipe. We enjoyed sleeping outside and stargazing, the pool, the outdoor shower

The staff was not very friendly, except from one lovely waiter. Disappointing, as this was not the case at an earlier stay. Also, the first time dinner was served in camp, which was magical. This time dinner was served at the lodge, which was a huge disappointment. We tried to ask why, but got no clear answer.

Everything about the camp was great: the location, the facilities in the tent and surrounding with the beautiful pool area, the camp manager roy was always there and very helpful

We asked for vegan food upfront (at the lodge) and it was confirmed to us. However every night we had to tell the staff again and there was always cheese or something in the main course.

The remote location is exceptional! We could sleep in front of our tent under the sky and could observe animals during the night just a few meters away. The food was quite good when you consider where you are!

It’s a 7km drive from the recreation to the tent. This could have been mentioned before but it’s definitely worth to drive there.

Incredible views, in particular the bar to watch the sundown. Very nice staff. Dinner under the starlight is unique.

Breakfast at the main lodge requires to drive.
