The hotel was well presented and very light throughout, we love the grounds as it’s surrounded and next to forest areas - one morning spotted some wild hares running around. Rooms are large, bright and airy - the bathroom is very nice with both bathtubs and walk-in shower. The dressing area is a great bonus as it was well used for our daughter for her dance competition - love the Dyson hairdryer! Breakfast had good options and everything was freshly cooked and quality ingredients. Able to hire bikes and cycled around the area with lots of picturesque landscape. The gym is a good size with enough machines and equipment, helped that there were not many people using it. While the pool had saunas and steam room which was great.

Just some minor things such as only 2 hangers avail and on check-in there were no tissues left in the box. When we asked to replace it instead of replacing into the holder we were just left with the box on the dressing area. Although the pool area with the sauna and steam room is open from the morning, sauna and steam room were not accessible as they were being cleaned.

The room was lovely and quiet even though it faces the highway and it was New Year’s Eve. The beds and bedding were great. The bathroom and bathtub were fantastic. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was extensive and tasty.

Too many kids. We didn’t use the pool because there were so many children in it. Not a shortcoming of the property, just important to know if you think this is a romantic getaway. Better for families. Dinner was just ok, nothing special.

Night gawn was absent. I've asked reception about it. I should pay to get it. It's not a good service! Every guest should get it for free!!! It was my 1st time in van der Valk! Nobody offered me a welkom present, or kind of welkom discount...it's pity.. really...

The pool is gorgeous - very 5 star facility, had the entire pool/steamroom/sauna to ourselves for 2 hours. Staff are lovely. Food in the lounge is outstanding and great value for money. Overall amazing!

It’s a one hour walk from Apeldoorn so bear that in mind if you don’t drive

Amazing stay, Service & facilities were amazing, the staff very friendly. Extra points for super comfy bed, strong shower and delicious food in the restaurant + breakfast buffet. Thermen Bussloo is just 10 min away by car.

Rooms are spacious and modern. Great lobby and lounge.

1. Booked including dog. But there was no water bottle or anything for the dog. 2. Room with bad, no bath foam 3. No bottled water in the room

the room is very comfortable, spacious and clean, the bed is of superb quality as is the bed linen. All in all a great stay

music till late at night this time, unfortunate but did not stop me from sleeping well and getting rested

Spacious rooms, big windows. You have everything you need in the room. The spa area looks amazing. Also, there was a very nice breakfast and friendly staff.
