Comfortable large rooms, lovely ambience, warm in the middle of winter. Very easy access to bus stop/ into town and train. Perfect to walk across to the Palace and for access to the Palace cafe .

Breakfast had one option, which was a buffet and it was very expensive, so we only had it one day of the week. As a small eater this felt very limiting . The shower was good, but drained poorly. The cleaning staff forgot things like towels and toilet paper and the quality of the cleaning could be inconsistent from very good to less than average.

Breakfast very good buffet evening meals in restaurant very good also but could be smaller portions I consider myself a big eater but not that big.

Overall not much but disappointed on our last day 14th when returning to our room after a day out 2 bath only 1 hand towel. Rubbish bins not emptied, sink area not cleaned plus I don't think the room was vacuumed the whole 10 days.

The facilities were great for the price that I paid, and the room was more spacious than most hotel rooms I've come across in the Netherlands. Most importantly, the staff was kind and welcoming. I would definitely come back again!

The only thing that wasn't ideal was the room seemed a bit cold for me. I set the room temperature to higher, but I can't say I felt an increase in warmth. Might've been because the windows weren't that well isolated.

Breakfast was not included, but there didn't seem to be an option to order this on the day. When we came downstairs, it was deserted, and there were individual trays put out on a few tables with basic breakfasts stuff. Odd. There is nothing in the way of cafes, restaurants, coffeebars near this hotel either.

The location was excellent. Right by the palace. Also the dinner and breakfast was excellent value for money and the staff were very friendly.

I did have an initial blip as when I got into my room the windows were wide open for some strange reason so the room was very cold. However it warmed up over the next hours.

Bedrooms were very comfy, breakfast very good with a lot of options, there is a warm swimming pool, a very small academy and if you need to have dinner at the hotel, the food portion is generous, price is OKish.

I believe hotel was understaffed, there was an event in Apeldoorn ( a run even that attracts lots of people), so the hotel did not look like was prepared in advance, so the staff probably went crazy and under a lot of stress. On the check-in I was only given the cards for my room, no additional information provided. Dinner took a long time on Saturday night.

Nice spacious hotel with comfortable lounge area. Large room, huge bed, balcony (onto street traffic), nice restaurant (even a free welcome drink), pleasant staff, plenty of free parking.

Long way from Apeldoorn centre. No bath towels when we arrived but they were soon supplied. Explanation - "not enough towels". That's a first!

Perfect location, near stunning park, hiking and cycling routes. Close to centre. Clean, cosy, spacious rooms and fantastic big bathroom with walk-in shower and hair dryer. Extremely comfortable beds with flawless bedding. Very quiet, sound -proof rooms. Luxurious restaurant, delicious breakfast and extremely comfortable and beautiful sitting zone and library. Friendly and very helpful staff

Extremely polite & willing personnel in the reception desk, very clean room with modern design hints, big bathroom with all the facilities & modern design also, huge bed that provided relaxation, very accurate & speedy WiFi, absence of disturbing sounds, excellent restaurant with interesting dishes, salads, deserts & drinks & all that in normal prices. My compliments to the chef & all the staff at Bastion Apeldoorn Hotel Nederlands.

Great staff. Rooms very nice, although a bit small -- as was the bathroom (room # 155). Lovely/comfortable bed. Outstanding water pressure -- makes showering a real pleasure.

Owing to the low number of breakfasting guests, the selection of bread was limited. Unfortunately only white bread -- although the last day of my stay a nice late made rye rolls especially for me. Also, my guests can no longer swim in the pool, which they could in the past. Maybe you should reconsider this policy?? Don't mind paying the reasonable fee again.
