We had a wonderful 3 night stay on "the donk" with lovely views over the fields full of ducks, geese and swans. Even though we weren't that lucky with the weather all the days the area is really nice to take a walk along the small rivers, go cycling, visit Rotterdam or even drive to Biesbosch nature reserve and explore the area by bike. The breakfast was sooo good and with a lot of attention to detail. At night it is very quiet and in the morning the first thing you might hear are the chickens behind the house or some pigeons in the nearby trees. The room was very clean and the colors and furniture all had a certain special touch that we really liked.

Property is fine Mosquito screens in place which is essential however mosquitos do get in If you’re prone to being eaten alive by mosquitoes bring repellent!!!!!!! Found this a problem for myself as mosquitos really like me!!! Found the distance just bit too far to drive on a daily basis to visit family

Incredible views and very calm, the perfect place for an escape from city life. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The property was close enough to all the places we wanted to visit, and really close to Kinderdijk.

Very modern facilities, comfortable, very well finished and decorated. Basic kitchen facilities. Easy cycling routes. Very quite and peaceful.

Bring food with you (cooked or microwaveable) as there is nothing in the near vicinity. Parking for 2cars but there are 2 rooms available.

Staying at De Donk was by far one of our best trips. Everything there was perfect, such as : *Clean rooms with amenities and high quality finish, plus a small kitchen *Open space for our kids to play *free bicycles and kayak for our use * Swimming in the lake *one of our best breakfasts that we had and better than most hotels *Very safe and relaxing area * Susan and Rob were very friendly and helpful host and have been keen to make sure that we enjoy our stay.

Very clean and tidy. Our hostess was amazing and willing to see to our every need. The location is very peaceful with a lovely view.

We can only confirm all the previous positive feedbacks. What an amazing place. We loved all there, the location, the surround, the room, the sunset, the canals where we had kayak, the roads in which we ride with the available bikes... Suzan and her husband are friendly hosts, De Donk is definitly in our heart!

The area is very nice and is a great spot to relax. It was very clean. Suzan was super nice and accommodating. She made us feel at home. She was approachable and very helpful for all our requests. I highly recommend this place

Breakfast excellent! Made fresh, and served in a nice facility with a view of the canal. Staff so friendly, gave us recommendations for restaurants, etc.

Nice location, surrounded by the fields, beautiful view. Friendly host, excellent breakfast. Comfortable room with a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a coffee machine. Good choice if you want to spend a weekend far from the city in a quiet, peaceful place.
