The hosts very very welcoming, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Having difficult dietary requirements they used all their creativity to still give me a great dining experience. The table service was absolutely incredible; professional, enthusiastic and very informative and positive. Because of the positive atmosphere, the cleanliness, the perfect location and the beautiful surroundings I found my stay one of the best I experienced

Nothing is ever perfect and I find it nit-picking in this instance to put attention to those very small things that will occur where ever one finds one self. Things like a wiff of cigarette smoke outside in the air or a creaking floorboard (which actually added to the colour locale)

The location of Huize Koningsbosch is wonderful, tucked in the forest and dunes though close to all tourist attractions that the regio has to offer. The entrance to "Noord Hollands Duinreservaat" is next to the hotel and this park probably offers the best dunes in the Netherlands. Great for running, walking and cycling. We explored other places in the area (Alkmaar, Bergen, Eilandspolder) by bike. The hotel arranged mountain bike rental in advance so our bikes were ready for us upon arrival. If a day trip to Amsterdam is on your agenda you can either drive or take the train from the neighbouring village of Castricum. Make sure to buy your tickets for the Vincent Van Gogh museum and the House of Ana Frank online well in advance. The breakfast buffet is lavish and the restaurant is tastefully decorated. We also enjoyed the lobby bar at the end of our day. This was my third visit in a ten month period and I will be back!

Menu is set for certain clientele I mean it’s fantastic but not for your average traveller just wanting a simple meal. I ended up across the road in a restaurant.

wow ! simply exceptional service in every way. From the moment I got there they couldn’t do enough .. we were going to a wedding and needed a few small things at different times and all the team went out their way to help. I expected a hotel that would be the need to get to attend the wedding, instead, I had a hotel that bought memories in itself .. I will be back for sure! oh and the food .. incredible also !

Breakfast is buffet-style. Boiled eggs were provided. Scrambled (etc) eggs and bacon were available on request. cooked to order. Otherwise a good spread for breakfast, including their chef's own granola. There's even cava! Plenty of free parking. The bedroom was modern and stylish, but not especially large. Lovely grounds, well-maintained, and a very peaceful location, more or less out in the country. The staff speak German and English.

Great smell, nicely located, amd the staff is very welcoming. Good beds and roomy shower.

No curtains in addition to the shutters, so it was a bit too light for me at night.

Loved almost everything ! We were there on the hottest day and the room had no aircon , however the dud have a fan so it was manageable. The service was really lovely, staff very kind and food very nice .

Very nice property with beautiful and comfortable rooms. Nice for a short stay for the beach. We enjoyed renting bikes at the hotel and biking to the beach. The staff is polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good too. I will book this place again when back in the area.

Maybe need a car or taxi to reach the hotel.

Very comfoy beds. Great shower. Excellent food. Tasty and fresh dinner.

Fridge in the room isn't cold enough.

The room (room 7) was extremely quiet, with a large picture window looking out onto the forest that was immediately outside of the room. The bathroom and shower were great and the bed very comfortable.. Breakfast was really nice.

The only criticism we have is that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
