I’ve stayed here before, spacious room with all amenities, above a lovely steakhouse. Close to Castricum centre, close to railway station. Free parking. Incredibly lovely staff, super clean room, fridge, hairdryer. Breakfast, food and drink available to be taken to your room which has a lovely little dining set complete with wine glasses. Or, have dinner downstairs.

For me not a problem, but only accessible via stairs. And till 2300 you might hear some restaurant sounds (again no problem for me). After that lovely and quiet, great for sleeping in.

Loved the location and the ease of check in and check out! There’s a great restaurant attached and some very cute shops nearby. They provide complimentary tea and coffee (essential for Dutchies like us!) and for us, the location worked especially well being so close to family! Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Noting really. The stairs are not ideal for those who struggle with walking (e.g. elderly people) but that was not an issue for us.

The location is excellent. It is very close to the train station and to the village. And the space works so well. This is one of the most comfortable BnB type places I've ever stayed in. And I definitely recommend ordering the breakfast basket. It contains a delicious and generous, selection of fresh foods.

Be aware that there is a metal, outside staircase to get up to the top floor where the accommodation units are located.

I have stayed here a few times in the big room facing the station. Very comfortable and clean. Bed is big, cosy and always clean. Staff downstairs are friendly and accommodating - requested a late check-out at least twice and it was never an issue. Dinner in the downstairs steak restaurant was nice. 1 minute walk to train station and super easy for access to Amsterdam, Alkmaar etc.

Breakfast isn't fabulous but I always go out to eat elsewhere anyway. It's up some external stairs that are not accessible for those who struggle on their feet.

We were at a family get together so did not have breakfast as went to their home. Ate in the restaurant which was superb.

Only because I have a bad knee I had to take my time on the stairs outside ! But … hey , we are in Holland and stairs are mandatory 😂

Staff was really friendly and helpful. The restaurant was really good. Compared to other "hotels" it was quite cheap.

Unfortunately it was a little bit noisy during the opening of the restaurant. I would not choose it, if you go to bed early (after 11pm it was fine). Breakfest was ok, but nothing special.

The restaurant below was convenient, great food, great prices and the staff was wonderful. Being opposite the train station was great too. And close to the town.

The stairs going to the room and small fridge

Close to station, village and trails. Cute apartments. Clean and modern interior.

It got very hot during the day. Airco/ fan was not strong to cool the room. Street is noisy at times.
