Dear Margriet went absolutely out of her way to explain her new „Happy Bed“ system to me as I didn‘t know about it, and she was very kind and accommodating during our stay. She treated us to coffee and cookies after we arrived on bicycles on a cold, rainy day. We were allowed to secure our bicycles on the porch. The bedroom was small but comfortable and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable evening. Main Street for strolling is right outside the door and the beach is a five-minute walk. Breakfast was unbelievable and there were so many homemade treats from Margriet and her husband Koos. We were so full but kept eating because everything was so delicious. We were even allowed to make sandwiches for lunch. These two also gave us all kinds of good recommendations to visit along our cycle tour. Nice people and a very pleasant stay.

This is a very cosy B&B for a stay at the Dutch seaside. Margriet and Koos are the friendliest hosts you can think of. I felt at home there from the second I stepped over the threshold. The room was spacious, light, and comfortable. AND it has a fridge, which I totally apprciate, especially in the summer. Breakfast is served in a very nice dining room, and trust me: no one will ever leave this room hungry :). If you want, you can even pack something for lunch (lunchbags are provided) or take something up to your room. Location is a bit off the center of Egmont, but a five-minute walk will take you to all the nice little shops, bars and restaurants there. And just a few minutes more will take you to the beach, the sea, the dunes and the lighthouse. The B&B is situated directly at a bus stop, so it is easy to reach by public transport, plus you can make day trips to e.g. Alkmaar or even Amsterdam. There is a bike rental in Egmont, too, so bike tours through the national reserve of the dunes, or to Alkmaar, or wherever are no problem. Maps of bikepaths are available at the B&B.

The owners of the Zandtaart - Margriet and Koos - are going for the extra mile. The breakfast is fabulous. Fresh bread rolls, eggs, cold cuts and daily a surprise. The rooms are clean with their own sink. Plenty of outlets to charge your phone, tablet and laptop all at the same time. Free wifi of course. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach. The atmosphere is very nice. We certainly can recommend the Zandtaart.

It‘s the perfect vacation home. You feel immediately very welcome. It is close to the village center, but not right in the middle of things. The bus station is right in front of the b&b. The breakfast is yummy and more than enough.

A cozy guest house situated near the sea. Clean rooms and strong Wi-Fi connection. Super friendly hosts serving rich breakfast which is different every day. Highly recommended for those who appreciate peace and home atmosphere.

Koos and Margriet are excellent hosts and try to make your stay as comfortable as possible! I really liked the breakfast as it is very homely... almost like breakfasting in your own home! They are also very attentive and made a proper vegan breakfast for my partner based on our request.

Great location just a few minutes walk from the beach. The owners were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was also really good.

Breakfast was fantastic with a special Danish treat every morning. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Margriet and Koos were definitely the loveliest and most welcoming hosts we've ever met. They did everything to make our stay perfect. 100% recommended!
