It’s a beautiful old building with lots of history, greeted by Elise, feels very welcoming. Decor is awesome, all the rooms and shared spaces are decorated very tastefully and cozy. Great style, cozy, some modern touches but always with a hint of the past. Facilities are great, we stayed in a room in the attic. Which was already remodeled. It’s pretty well insulated against the cold (or heat, we stayed in the winter) from outside.

The one thing they could improve on, would be sound insulation from within the building itself.

A historical characterful building so quirky and not just like any other hotel. Lovely hosts and fantastic breakfast! Brilliant central location for everything in Dokkum.

Bar opposite wasn’t noisy, however perhaps a blind could be added to the windows as if shutters open to allow fresh air, the people in the bar can see into the room so it meant keeping shutters closed so room was a little stuffy just with fan as no aircon.

The bnb was very beautifully decorated and maintained with excellent cleanliness and facilities. The space was sufficient for 5 people and the location was very close to the centre of the town. The hosts were very helpful with explaining us how to find the keys to our room even though we were very late for the check-in.

Clean and cozy apartment, located in a very central location. The building itself is simply charming✨ the breakfast was the freshest, crispiest and the tastiest 🤤🤤😋 We will definitely book this stay again for our next trip to Dokkum. Thank you Monique and Eloise for our stay!

The breakfast was very nice. We also liked the decor, the atmosphere of the B&B. The room and bathroom were stylish, new, and very clean. The eating kitchen was very nice.

The toilet room was a bit tiny, but we were small enough to fit inside.

Lovely old recently renovated building in the heart of Dokkum! Very nice staff, perfect atmosphere and a very picturesque town!

Some of the cables are lined along the floor in front of door openings. I would recommend to re-route them along the door to prevent tripping. The rooms are very noisy there if possilbe look for more sound insulation options. However, I do understand the challenge with these old buildings.

The building was beautiful and was much older than the facade indicated. Apparently a former brewery! Lots of beams, amazing floorboards etc. The hosts were super friendly and professional and made us feel very welcome, including parking our cycles in their courtyard garden. The room was quirky, with the shower and toilet effectively in converted cupboard spaces. It worked fine and made a nice change from some of the big chain hotels we had stayed at, but some people may not embrace it as we did. The new owners had only taken over a week before we arrived and they have a big list on improvements they want to make, and I am keen to come and stay again to see how things progress. Dokkum is a lovely town and this place is brilliantly located for a couple of nights to make the most of the local bars, restaurants etc.

It was all fine

Breakfast was big, so there was enough for a lunch to go (grenola bars, bread, fruit, etc.). The host is nice. We always got cake or cookies in the afternoon as well. Free public parking is available and there were usually a lot of free spaces to park (weekends might be busier). The room is big enough, and there were plenty of towels.

A hair dryer would have been nice. The sweet breakfast breads seemed a bit stale. Some of the extension cords are older and exposed wires. The walls (to the outside and also inside the house) are thin, so light sleepers might need earplugs.
