Hotel was in a great location within close walking distance of restaurants and shops, and also 4 min drive / 15 mins walk / easy cycle from Sprookjeswonderland. Free parking outside hotel was good, always got a space. Simple buffet breakfasts were great, good variety and breakfast room was very comfortable and well decorated. We stayed in a family room with a double bed and two singles and it was a good size with a nice bathroom (great shower). Owners were really friendly and very helpful. Lots of games available to borrow too.

Hard to find fault, our room was a little hot, but a fan was provided and the windows could be left open all day which helped.

It was a very comfortable place to stay in. The room was cozy, it had a decent size, the bathroom was fine. We slept well there. The breakfast was very nice too. The personal was very nice and thoughtful. They put effort into seeing that you were welcome. I also liked that there was a commons minibar so there was more to chose from then one in a room, if you needed it. Also the halls had shelves with books and games if you wanted to stay in. But who'd want to do that, the old town was one of the cutest I've seen in Holland - Amazing

The location of this hotel is excellent, easy to reach by bike and public transportation. We took the ferry to Stavoren in the morning and the hotel staff was very helpful in preparing breakfast for us on time so we could catch the boat. We found the room comfortable and affordable.

The couple that runs the place are very friendly. Breakfast was fine, friendly welcome, nice fresh bread, your choice of coffee served quickly, cosy breakfast room.

We were just there to stay the night, so we didn't need anything more. People may want to watch out when you open the door, the stairs start immediately and the stairs are quite steep. But that was no problem at all; the building is just very characterful.

The stay was great! Looking at the pictures on booking.com, I haven't expected the hotel to be this good. The room was spacious. They provided almost all the stuff one might need. Eg: soap, shampoo, moisturizer like most hotels, and on top of that shoe shine brush, body scrub, a variety of tea options, and a decent breakfast in the morning.

Everything was as per expectations. Would have been nicer if there was an elevator as climbing three floors with the luggage was the only hassle we had.

The owners were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to help and accommodate my needs (gluten and lactose free breakfast, a lower pillow, the train timetable - printed out no less - to Alkmaar, carrying my suitcase up to my room and back down when I left). Bed comfy, great water pressure in the shower, heating efficient, breakfast ample. They seem to be a very family friendly hotel, too. Lots of options for the kids.

The lighting in the room was very dim.

This is a family-run hotel with a family atmosphere and we felt very relaxed and comfortable here. Our ground floor room was well equipped and had the bonus of some outdoor space with tables and chairs, which was very welcome in the hot weather. Breakfast was fine - everything we needed. It wasn't a problem that there was no dinner in the evening, as there are many nice restaurants on the harbours within a very short walk. It was lovely being in the old, pretty, quiet part of town and very close to the excellent Zuiderzee Museum; the town beach was a 15 minute walk and the town centre 10 minutes or less. Free parking wasn't a problem once our host had explained the options. Enkhuizen itself is lovely, and I would recommend going for an ice cream cone at 9pm next to the Drommedaris tower, as most people in the town seemed to do!

The towels and soap were changed every day, though we would have been happy to continue using the same ones - not a problem, except for the environment.

Currently they are renovating the hotel. We stayed in the new part with a lovely courtyard. The rooms are spacious & the bathroom is large. The shopping street is just around the corner & many lovely streets to walk through. Breakfast was included & very good. Great coffee!!! Parking wasn't a problem for us.

Nice shower, clean , including tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom - room as described and the location was very central to Enkhuizen. Nice breakfast. Good wifi and friendly hosts.

The shower curtain did not come fully round which resulted in a wet bathroom floor

It was a nice quiet place to stay, in the centre of everything I wanted to see and do

Steeper stairs than I’m used to:) but had no problem using them!
