Very cozy and quiet place, just a bit out of the busy town center of Giethoorn, such that it offers a very spacious free parking, boat rental directly from the hotel, and a nice outdoors area where to chill in the evening or in the morning. The owner was super kind and everything was very nice.

Everything was just great. Only minor downside was that our room was a bit hot (it was a very warm week, and being under the roof naturally doesn't help). So, we had to open the windows, which resulted in a few mosquito bites during the evening/nights. Therefore, I would recommend maybe installing mosquito nets in the windows.

Incredible location and views, so quiet all you hear is birds chirping, everything around is just green and magical. Esther was absolutely amazing, very attentive to our needs and very very sweet. Breakfast was really good, and we also rented a boat through the same family & place and everyone was so nice. We fell in love with them and the place and HIGHLY recommend!

There wasn't an AC but it's like this in most places in the Netherlands as they're not used to warm weather. Esther did make sure to put a fan in our room though!

I cannot express enough how wonderful our stay was at De Kruumte. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. Esther McKenzie, was an absolute delight. Her warm and friendly personality made us feel like we were staying with a dear friend. She went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. The accommodation itself was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. The attention to detail was impressive, and we appreciated the little touches that made our stay special. The location was perfect for us, as it was peaceful and quiet, yet still within easy reach of all the attractions we wanted to visit. Overall, we had an amazing experience at De Kruumte, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Esther!! Absolutely lovely lady who was so welcoming. She has clearly travelled herself so knows how to help people and make them feel welcoming without being in your face. Gave us advice as to when to do the boats and where to have dinner and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful walk into town along the canals.

Great location. Very clean a relatively new build. Easy check with friendly people. Looks to be a family run hotel. Was recommended a restaurant, which we ate at, this was also good. Breakfast is pre-ordered and cooked fresh for you. Would stay here again if in the area.

A hairdryer would be a welcome add on

A great country hotel for a short stay for a day visit to Ghithorn. The hospitality is personal by the owner of the place, Ester. Despite the late hour we arrived at the hotel, she waited for us and welcomed us. The room is cozy, spacious, lacking in pampering manners, but comfortable and absolutely satisfactory. We got a room overlooking the front of the hotel and the canal. Real peace. The breakfast was modest but sufficient. We had to define on the evening of our arrival what and how much of each item we wanted. It seems that everything is counted and measured...probably the custom of the place. In the morning we also rented a boat on the spot, and the pleasure of sailing in the canals and the lake was perfect. In conclusion, thank you Esther for the hospitality.

The terrible stairs to the room. Not for guests who have difficulty in climbing, aspecialy with luggage....

Excellent place to stay as it is a 10 minute walk to the busy area. A great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel was great but the amount of visiting tourists in the day, mostly buses from Amersterdam is a little over the top and detracts from the town, I suppose they are a victim of their own success.

Excellent location - easy and pleasant walk into the village. Boat and Bike hire on site. Spacious room with tea and coffee facilities. Friendly, family run B&B.

The wifi connection in the room was almost non-existent so had to rely on roaming. The boat hire seemed quite expensive.

Host was nice, Room was spacious & clean, bathroom & towels were clean. Free parking in front of the hotel. Freshly prepared breakfast, my wife liked the raisin bread. I liked the idea of no wastage, as you have to preselect the breakfast the night before.

Pillows are awful, so thick & hard, not at all comfortable. It is bit isolated all by itself & with no full time Reception (perhaps due to lean season), unless you like isolation, it's not for us. Considering the price we paid through booking.com inspite of being a L2 genius member, it seems highly over priced, while similar properties in busiest area are available at much cheaper price.

Located a short walk from the charming houses and canals in Giethoorn. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was lovely with a skylight. Great that we could also open up the windows fully to let air in. The host, Esther, was so warm, welcoming, and generous. The breakfast was custom order and delicious. I’d stay here again 100%.
