From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff was absolutely fantastic. We were warmly welcomed and immediately given a detailed explanation about the city, including important guidelines regarding restricted traffic areas, boat rentals, suggested routes, and the main attractions to visit. Their guidance made a huge difference in how smoothly our trip went. Breakfast was another highlight—everything was fresh and delicious, especially the homemade bread, which was simply outstanding. One particularly thoughtful gesture was that the hotel kindly allowed us to leave our car parked there (even after the check-out) while we explored the area, which made everything so much easier and stress-free. The Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience, and I would gladly return!

Easy to find and parking available. Warm welcome by host who took us to the room and carried a suitcase. Room was generous in size, comfortable bed, kettle available, wardrobe ample to store clothing. Breakfast is self-service with a variety of choices and a machine to make your own tea/coffee. Outside seating available on good days, but be aware of midges. Cheap food options for dinner, fairly basic food. Walk to the centre of Giethoorn 10 minutes, advice available to book a boat trip.

Steep outside staircase, which is a bit slippery on rainy days. Being asked to pay immediately as we arrived.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Very comfortable clean & spacious room . Good parking . Very good breakfast. Just a short distance to the waterways and Giethoorn village with is beautiful picturesque houses and landscape.

It was a little bit expensive. It was called the old forge where they made things from iron in the past . but there was nothing in the hotel to do with the an old forge or iron making which would have give it more character .

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful – they gave us excellent recommendations on what to do and what to visit in the area, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety of fresh options to choose from. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel with my partner and we made a great choice! The hotel is comfortable, clean, has a beautiful view from the room, close to the city center. The hotel attendant is very helpful and friendly, he gave us lots of tips on interesting places to visit, tours around the city, among others. The breakfast is very tasty and there are many options. In general, the hotel is simple, but it met our expectations. We definitely recommend this hotel!

A little noise from the neighbor room due to the poor sound proof, yet it is not often the case and is not a big problem to us.

location is great, breakfast is good but not many options. our family has 4, had to book one 3 person room and 2 person room, but that 3 person's room has enough space, if owner can rearrange the layout, it could be more efficient for 4 person family. we had dinner in facility, it is really good, and I noticed a lot dinner customers are locals, atmosphere is good.

We loved the location and the high quality service at both the restaurant and the hotel. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was such a fun place to spend a night. Their bar and restaurant was great!

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the major scenery area of Giethoorn. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. It seems the hotel was renovated recently. The bathroom utensils are of famous brand. The hotel is a 2-storey building with rooms at the upper floor and a restaurant at the lower. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is good with many choices, the dinner is delicious. The owner of the hotel is kind and helpful. He introduced us the scenery areas worth visiting and showed us the routes to them. When he Knew that we had to catch up the train at Steenwijk to airport in the morning of check out, he offered us a drive to Steenwijk train station. What a kind host!

This was the perfect place for our group of 7 to stay for the night. The hosts were so helpful when we arrived and gave us a really helpful run down of the area. We loved being able to visit the city after the crowds left, and it was nice because the location was perfect and walkable. The rooms were also bigger than we expected.
