Stadspaleis Hotel is an amazing place to stay! The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bad and a choice of pillows! We loved the style the room was decorated with. We enjoyed sitting on a terrace just outside the room having an afternoon tea). The hotel is surrounded by the old park with the castle ruins and a waterfall, it's a pleasure to walk around in the evening. We took a breakfast that was well served with a variety of fresh cheese, ham, bread eggs, and fruits. The staff was friendly and helpful. We are especially grateful to Peter, who gave us useful tips about places to visit and restaurants for lunch that we wouldn't find without him! It was nice to have a little chat with him during our stay! By all means, don't think twice, just book a room and come!!!!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place truly stands out! The hospitality is top, and the restaurant serves some of the best classical French cuisine ever seen in the Netherlands, both for dinner and breakfast. The estate is breathtaking, with a gorgeous park surrounding it.

The bathroom is a bit basic, but honestly, everything else more than makes up for it. Highly recommended!

Amazing historical property, with lots of character, located in a park. Vollenhove is a great place for a short stay, with a long history. Friendly staff, both in the hotel and in the restaurant

Not much really - slightly hard beds for our liking but may be more preference than objective. We enjoyed it very much!

Wonderfully welcoming staff. Relaxed ambience throughout the property. Elegant dining rooms. Large comfortable bedroom with good amenities in the room. Very nice evening meal (for a separate price) and an enjoyable breakfast (included in the price). Excellent value for money (in the week).

No lifts so if you have big suitcases, this could be a problem (that said, the staff helped us up with our light bags). The room we had had steps down into the room which made it difficult getting out as you had to step back down to pull the door inwards.

This hotel, is an absolute gem. Everything about it was right, the staff were attentive, helpful, and went well above what we expected. The rooms are comfortable, clean, with a great view. Breakfast was included in the price, lots of fresh fruit, breads, coffee, and the best honey I have ever tasted. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has a beautiful and easy to get to location. The outstanding thing about our stay, was the staff. We also met the owner, who couldn’t have done enough for us. Another beautiful gem about this place was the pub located within the hotel. If you are thinking of staying anywhere stay here. We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful place to stay, with a great restaurant and lovely breakfast

The bed - we paid extra for an “extra large double bed” which turned out to be two single beds, which moved apart and made the night very uncomfortable for both of us

Great location, close to the "city" center and with an adjacent park. Impressive building and garden. Big, comfortable room, great breakfast and nice personnel.

Hard to get a decent meal on a Monday in the village. Otherwise no complaints.

Incredible value for money and a lovely cosy room with good amenities. The staff were really lovely and welcoming and the grounds were nice to walk around. It was nice to have a decently sized TV with casting capability so you can rest after a long day!

Romantic environment in an 'old' mansion well renovated. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms very quit. Friendly staff.

Restaurant in our case was unfortunately still closed during the Christmas holiday period.
