Overall cleanliness (the descaled water kettle was a good sign!) Comfy beds and pillows. Quiet even though it's next to the highway. Not big but still spacious. Responsive staff before arrival (in Booking app chat) regarding my questions. Big and small towel per person.

Only minor things: Only one thick duvet, no other blankets in the closet to adjust thickness. With reception not open during evenings this meant I just had to deal with it. Dustbunnies in the corners (overall nothing to complain about though). Window shutters left quite some daylight past the edges. No small shelf thingy in the shower to leave your shower items on. No air vents for outside fresh air to get in, the only option was to open a window (and with day temperatures of +15 degrees Celsius that meant mosquitoes during the darker hours of the day).

The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The owners were there the next morning and were very responsive to anything we said. Great location right by the thruway.

The one window opener was broken, but the owners were never told about it. The lighter window curtains were essentially missing one panel so one did not have total privacy in the morning. The bathroom was comparatively small and unfortunately when one showers the water does go a little into past the little barrier for the water. All those things are minor, but the landlords listen and said they would fix it as beast as they could.

Loved the modern decor and the staff were lovely. Breakfast is good value for money. The sheets were great quality and the natural soaps and shampoo bar were lovely. Nice coffee and tea in the room too. Was central enough to walk to the town too and get a little exercise in.

No fridge in the room and no food services for lunch or dinner available so I had I make sure I had my food shop in which is where the fridge would have come in handy for cold salads and juice etc.

+ we had a very nice and big room with all we need; + Air con in the room: + the beds were very comfortables; + coffee / tea facilities in the room; + the staff was very nice and helpful: + there is a free parking to the hotel;

- the hotel is very close to the road (it could be noisy, when you open the window). Ths was not a problem for us, but so that you are aware; When the window is closed - no problem at all.

The hotel was lovely and modern. The bed,pillows and doona were just gorgeous. So nice to snuggle into the bed. I left the best till last…Robert-Jan was an exceptional host and owner. I had a crash on a bike and he organised a friend who a doctor to come and check me out, he then made an appointment for an emergency doctor for 8:15pm, he then drove me there and waited while I had stitches. He constantly checked I was ok over the 3 days of my stay. When I come back to the Netherlands I will definitely stay at the hotel.

Modern and large comfortable rooms with excellent private bathroom. Very clean, Quiet, 1 km out of Steenwijk. Free parking. Convenient for visiting Giethoorn by car. Free refreshing drink as self service. We could put our fruits in the refrigerator of the restaurant. Good price for high quality accomodation. Contact by mail and phone. Check-in with a code, which was no problem.

The place was clean and nice, and most of all the staff was really nice ! I could chat with some people there and even ended up carpooling with a really nice employee (if you read this I'll be eternally grateful!). The breakfast was also enjoyable and going to the Dicky Woodstock festival from there was pretty easy. In one single word : perfect !

The rooms were spacious and everything was new and clean with tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

One small area for improvement We were at the property at a very quiet time so it was a little difficult for the property to offer a breakfast with a great deal of variety without incurring a lot of wastage so offerings for us were somewhat limited which was understandable. Probably better then to either point us in the direction of a cafe in town or offer a discount explaining the circumstances upon checkin. Nevertheless we still loved our stay here and will definitely return when we are next in the Netherlands.

Lovely room, large bed and very modern bathroom. Easy parking and check in. Airconditioning is a bonus. Great location near to Giethoorn.

It would be great if a small fridge was in the room- our room did have plenty of space for one. There was some road noise in our room- this didn’t both us until a bit later in the morning but may bother light sleepers.

Very sweet little town and very nice hotel right newr the highway. Very conformable for those who is traveling by car. It has private parking and easy access to the town and to the highway. Even though we were late for our registration, personnel made it possible for is to check in and feel welcomed. Recommend this hotel for travelers. Nice choice
