The location was great, just a 300 metre walk to the old village (they'll tell you it is 50 metres), lovely spacious room, comfortable bed, good hot water, good quality dining in the restaurant, not a bad included breakfast, friendly owner/managers, good parking, you can't go wrong here.

The only thing we can fault is when asking for tap water in the restaurant, she said that the tap water was contaminated with a bacteria and not suitable for drinking. So we needed to buy bottled water. We were also advised not to drink the water in the room without first boiling it, but there was no attempt to supply bottled water. We believe that the provision of clean drinking water, without having to buy it, is fundamental to any accommodation property.

Beautiful place, verry well situated for all kind of activities. The hotel is clean, warm inside, nice restaurant, all fresh and tastefull breakfast and dinner, sorrounded by beautiful flowers, green grass, water and verry quiet, calm, relaxing. Everybody was verry nice and polite and smiling all the time, ready to help you whatever you need. The owner waited for us late at night at our arrival, he took care of us just to feel welcome. It really was a nice experience. I would go back any time! Thank you!

I liked even the rain!

A truly wonderful hotel! Very clean and well-maintained. The owners were extremely kind and professional in their dealings with us. We rented a boat and bicycles from them — it was an amazing and smooth experience. The owner explained everything clearly and made it so easy. Highly recommended, one of the best places I’ve stayed at!

The staff was very warm, welcoming, informative, and had a great sense of humor. We were given great advice on how to spend our time in Giethoorn and enjoyed every second of it. The hotel is in a very quiet area and it genuinely feels like you are on holiday when there.

It is a bit of a trek to the main part of Giethoorn. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, but it does not run past 715pm or so. Plan accordingly.

The location for exploring the area is excellent but the best thing about the hotel was the welcome we received - we were greeted like old friends and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of our stay even though the weather spoilt itself on our second day. Parking was plentiful and bikes and boats available for anyone wanting to explore the canal network. A really special place.

Some shampoo would have been nice and fresh fruit selection for breakfast.

Very supportive personnel. Location was very clean, and the restaurant had a great dinner. They are also having a boat rental service, from reception getting all the needed information.

The pillows were hard and to large, being uncomfortable. TV was without an HDMI port where to be able to connect my Chromecast device.

Breakfast was having little or no option I should say for the amount I paid. An old building hence structures are old, bathroom is not renovated and are very old style however this should be a major issue. Location: this hotel is located at the start of the village hence be prepared to walk a lot if you wish to walk through the village.

Our Room was too warm at night. We turned the heat totally off but not cool enough for us to sleep. The ac was not available yet in the hotel. The hotel was located about 15 min drive from the bustling Giethorn area and it would have been nicer to be in town.

A charming and friendly hotel with a good breakfast. The rooms were very good and clean. It's a bit far from the main village so you need a car (free parking available on property). The folks running this hotel are very friendly and helpful. Boats and cycles available for rent on property. You can rent a boat and go into the main village.

The location of the hotel for Giethorn was superb. The rental of Electric Boats and the application for navigating the boats through Giethorn was excellent. The hotel manager was very knowledgeable. Breakfast was great. Good value for money hotel with bedroom having nice terrace to watch the ducks, herons and other widlife

Thought the room would be cleaned automatically but we needed to put a sign outside the door to say Please clean the room.
