The location in town was fantastic. There were restaurants, grocery stores and shops all within a very short walk. The owners were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and functioning. The garden and outdoor seating area was very nice and relaxing. Breakfast was simple and nice. There were drinks to buy 24/7 which was a nice perk.

The windows did not open (possibly because we were on the first floor). I noticed windows on second floor were functioning.

The host was very friendly explaining everything upon arrival. Location is a short walk into town with multiple supermarkets available and other smaller shops. Coffee available in the communal kitchen is far better than normal instant you get in hotel rooms. The room (room 5) was spacious with an attractive vaulted ceiling windows that fully open with great ventilation, and large comfy beds, great for relaxing in after busy days exploring, by far the best bed on our week long trip at multiple hotels.

I found the selection at breakfast limited, more continental than I was expecting (maybe I didn't read the listing though) Only 2 toilet rolls supplied, not clear on where to get more, the reception in only "manned" during office hours. I was caught by surprise by the tourist tax due on departure, although this is buried in the listing.

We travelled here to stay before our break at the local Center Parcs. It was lovely lovely place! We travelled with young kids and we were able to stay in a big double bed each with one child each. Beds were super comfy and the grounds and facilities lovely. Short 3min walk into town for supermarkets and we as two families got dominoes pizza and sat in the undercover outdoor seating and all ate together. Was lovely! Perfect for what we needed. Thank you!

Lovely large family room with two bedrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole hotel had a very friendly vibe about it. The location was great for the centre of Horst, which had several good restaurants. Breakfast was good quality and of the continental variety. The location of the hotel was only 15 minutes away from the theme park Toverland, which was also excellent.

The standard of the continental breakfast was good. The bed was extremely comfortable although the mattress topper did tend to curl up at one corner. The fan in the bedroom proved a godsend with the extremely hot weather. The staff were extremely helpful and the lift when we left to the railway station by the owner was much appreciated.

Our stay was for seven nights and we would like to have seen more variety with the breakfast. Perhaps some cooked items on the menu.

Great location when coming by car and do cycling in surrounding areas. Breakfast ok/nice place to eat outside and room even included a new kitchen (never used :-)). walking distance from center with lots of restaurants.

The staircase was very steep. There was only one water-glass tumbler in the bathroom

Very accommodating owners for early checkin and luggage storage. Easy walk to main square. Drinks available for purchase.comfy bed.

Not a fan of super steep stairs with luggage, but there are ground floor rooms as well.

The breakfast was great and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in in a long time!

The stairs to my room were steep. Not a problem for me but I wouldn't advise anyone with mobility problems or very young children to stay in the rooms in that quarter of the building.

We were looking for a bathtub and we found a room with freestanding tub at Hostellerie Horst. The gardens were lovely.

The Dutch staircase leading to the upper level was steep and narrow. It took one trip for each suitcase as you need a hand free to hold the railing.
