The location within the woods, the amenities (spa with steam bath, very nice gym, game room etc) and the possible activities incl. if raining (spa, game room, cinema room with movie every evening, recommendations of hikes starting from the hotel, yoga class on Sunday morning etc). Great value for money.

We had a room with 2 completely separate single beds whereas we were a couple (seems like the cheapest room segment only contains this type of room). Would be nice to have a bath robe and slippers for the spa directly within the room or available at the entrance of the spa instead of having to ask to the reception.

Great property with lots of facilities. The design is very nice! Location is perfect.

The gym equipment is not compatible with anything. Only their own app. The bike didn’t have the option to click on shoes or hold a mobile phone and water. The room was in the basement not accessible with an elevator which meant I had to carry my heavy luggage. The rooms were paper thin so we heard everything. The cleaning staff. Blocked the corridors from 8am- the evening lots of noise and things to dodge. It was difficult to get hold of staff for the bar as people were doing other jobs. The restaurant isn’t open all week. There is no shop or places to buy snacks from a kiosk.

Good breakfast, nice large tables in the restaurant. Cleanliness, and friendly staff. There has been done a probable amount of effort in the vibe of the hotel. However: small stuff..

The light-timer in the bathroom: an example of extremely bad design: its a small thing with lots of irritating effects. When you are for example reading on the toilet (a pleasure not to be underestimated), the light flips off after 1 or 2 minutes , and you have to make a significant move to get it started again. Same in the shower, but there the sensor doesnt register in-shower-moves, which makes it worse. So you have to shower in the dark or open and close the door. Bathroom-to-room door is glass, with the automatic lighting, if you have a roomie, they will be enlightened every time you go to the bathroom. All in all, lack of thoughtful design really puts a shame to otherwise nice clean and comfortable rooms (though small).

Beautiful building and peaceful surroundings. Wonderful facilities. Breakfast options very good, and plentiful. The option to help yourself to tea, coffee and water at any time, a very welcome addition. Atelier room a lovely bonus.

The room was very small with little room to move around the bed and get past the two chairs in front of the desk. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, and not much room to place toiletries. This didn’t really matter to us for an overnight stay, but would have wanted a bigger room if we were staying longer.

As usual, the overall experience was great for a work trip - the hotel is spacious, super comfortable, staffed by friendly and helpful people who strive to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was well presented and varied, I only wish they'd made non-dairy milk alternatives available rather than having to request it every morning.

Having only ever visited the DeWerelt for work trip stays, I have to mention that I've stayed in room B1043 twice within a 6-month span and yet the toilet roll holder was broken on both occasions - meaning that it technically holds the roll but as one of the screws came undone, it ends up rolling off and unfolding paper roll everywhere. That's not nice for a hotel of this standard, nor it is the fact that my room was only barely tidied up and even the used cups were not removed everyday. I'd expect better next time.

This modern hotel is well-located for those planning a wellness break, cycling holiday, or walks in the woods since it is in the Hoge Veluwe National Park itself. There was an excellent breakfast selection. In view of the facilities it seemed good value. We were grateful for the secure bike storage since we were on a cycle tour. Also a good location for visiting Arnhem and the wonderful Kröller-Müller Museum at nearby Otterlo.

The rooms are mainly on two floors stretched out across a wide area. Our room was virtually at the end of the hotel and a long way from most facilities. The twin room was surprisingly small. The bathroom would not suit larger guests. There is something of a disconnect between the hotel and its restaurant, the latter being closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Location is awesome. In the forest a couple of kilometers from a town. Quiet and isolated. The hotel is a conference centre so has various amenities (pool, library, games room, spa). Spacious lobby and hallways. Awesome breakfast. All manner of items and large area to enjoy your food. Safe and secure bike area. Quick ride into town for dinner.

We booked a lower cost room. So were given a basement room (had a window at least) and was very small. The hotel appeared empty so it would have been nice to give us a better room. Some toiletries were missing; our request for the items was ignored. Customer experience people were just okay. Took our money and that was it.

We both loved the location of this hotel. There's enough to do both inside and outside the hotel. It's surrounded by nature which was wonderful because the only sounds you heard were from nature (birds singing, trees whooshing).

The room could have been vacuumed and cleaned a bit more. The receptionist that welcomed us could've been more friendly. The rest of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

It was very beautiful, with lots of aspects of nature. It really is a place where you can rest; if there aren’t a lot of people, like we had. The activities are really well planned, and there is a lot to do! Swimming pool, cinema, game room, gym and more!

There was a spider in our room, really big haha. But it’s alright we just let it stay there. And the YT and Netflix on Tv don’t work, but that’s okay too, we got to watch a movie in the cinema!!

Breakfast was excellent! Varied rolls, fresh fruit, great coffee. Friendly ladies from the breakfast crew.

Young woman at reception should realize more she is the first person we see! Clinical behaviour in responding to queries determines first impression of an hotel...
