We stayed 4 nights. Wonderful location. Lots of places to walk or bicycle. Comfortable beds and hot shower. Indoor pool. Lovely terrace for light meals and drinks.

Initial room provided had an AC unit outside the window and was situated behind the lift well. A glove was covering the smoke detector. If for 1 night I wld not have a concern about the AC or lift noise but as we were staying 4 nights we advised reception we were not happy with the room. An alternate room was organised immediately. Initially we felt we were given a downgraded room because of our discounted rate. Everything else was fine.

Nice old building though not as nice as the photos suggest. I had a large room with the most comfortable bed of my whole trip away. The restaurant is excellent and well worth a visit. The menu was really good with plenty of choice and very attentive service.

Twenty five euros for breakfast was a definite 'no' from me. If you are spending well over two hundred euros a night to stay there and use the restaurant then why charge an excessive amount for a bite to eat in the morning? If you don't have a huge appetite at breakfast like me then you leave the hotel hungry which is a shame.

The place is gorgeous! There are pretty gardens to walk through, the bar is nice under the sun. Nice saunas and indoor swimming pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice bathtub. Toiletries by Rituals gave the place a special touch.

The minibar doesn't cool by default, so bringing food from the market is challenging. No vegan options at the breakfast. Fitness center is good, but it could use a few weight lifting options.

The room was absolutely superb, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The cleanliness was impeccable, with every detail attended to, making the stay truly pleasant. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and professional staff always ready to assist with a smile. It’s clear that great care and attention to detail are at the heart of this experience. Everything exceeded expectations, creating a stay that was both relaxing and memorable. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a lot of charm and character. It is nicely laid out, not too big but not too small. The rooms are "old fashioned" and in many respects you take a step back in time. for example you have a real key to open the door, the furniture is not modern and so reflects the character and charm of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, however for me the bed was not firm enough but this is a personal choice and not a fault of the hotel.

There is a limited menu in the restaurant. The food is nice and good quality, however the limited choice means that you need to consider other options if staying at the hotel for a longer period of time. There is no lunch time menu apart from the bar menu which is also limited. More choice and lower costs for food would be better from my perspective.

Location. The charm of being inside a chateau in the middle of the lake. The green surroundings. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We all had a good night of relaxing and deep sleep. The hotel uses Rituals for shampoo, conditioner and hand wash and they smell so good. The room also has coffee so that helps and the view from the windows is spectacular. Our toddler was happy to see so many birds and to explore the garden grounds.

We ordered a crib but it wasn't delivered. The sauna is not cozy but functional. We asked what the service charge was for and we didn't get a satisfactory answer.

The location is superb. The staff were courteous, friendly and very efficient. The Chateau just oozed relaxation. I had visited Venlo many years ago and wished I had known about this location then. We had a thoroughly excellent stay and felt totally rejuvenated and ready for quite a long drive into Germany the next day. Thoroughly recommended.

The sauna, the food, the comfortable mattress, the amazing view around the building.

We informed the staff 2 or 3 times about the fact that in the ashtray of the backyard (next to the sauna), there were some birds nesting. They kept saying that they would hang a note for people not to use it, but we haven't seen any.. Hopefully, this was done later :)

The hotel looks amazing, an amazing location and the staff were great. Great car park. Highly recommend the restaurant.

35 euros for a pet is a joke. My cat only sleeps. I understand that a pet might damage the room and I'd totally accept a hold of 50 euros in case of damage of 15 euros like all the other hotels I've been to but 35 euros for nothing... I won't go back for this price. One of the saunas wasn't working. The spa area looks a bit abandoned and one shower was dripping water the whole time. This is unacceptable in 2023. People don't have water and that water was running the whole time. A recyclable bin is a must, again, in 2023 we should be recycling everything in the rooms. Breakfast can be better for what we are paying.

Great location. Glorious area to sit out in, surrounded by water lilies in the moat. Customer service from restaurant staff made a good recovery from a little hiccup in service.

Early morning delivery rattling loudly, and the window wasn’t sufficiently soundproof to avoid this. (Double checked window was closed, btw)
