We had a fantastic stay at Arthur’s Pass Motel and Lodge, and would highly recommend to others. The motel/lodge itself is ideally positioned within the Arthur’s Pass town, and is close to many day hikes. The motel/lodge had great amenities- e.g access to a washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine in our room, and a full communal kitchen to use. Tash (owner) was so genuinely hospitable and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, great value for money and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit Arthur’s Pass.

The rooms were a little older style- but it’s really not an issue. The location, amenities (e.g access to washing machine, having a Nespresso coffee machine in the room) and the genuinely positive hospitality from Tash (owner) completely out way any ‘negative’

We stayed one night going from West Coast to East. Absolutely stunning drive. There aren't many places to stay on that route and I feel we picked a good option with this place. Tash was very welcoming showing us around and suggesting a walk locally. There is a large kitchen dining room with plenty of crockery and space in the fridge. There is a very limited little shop opposite with a cafe. Best to pick things up before you get there. The room and bathroom were nicely decorated and cosy. It is on the road and some rooms are on that side. We had one but the road is so quiet, especially in the evening, it didn't bother us. We were lucky to have a clear night sky so drove away from the village and had an amazing view of the milkyway. If you didn't want to do that the view from the village was pretty good too! The walk was to a waterfall. There is quite a bit or up and down steps so not good for those with mobility issues.

Well equipped room with nice en-suite. Extra large fluffy towels and a comfy bed. The common kitchen and dining facility is immaculate with everything one needs to cook in, even a Nespresso machine! Owner provided advance communication to suggest bringing your own food as there is limited availability in Arthur’s pass. Great promo city to three good waterfall walks (Millenium is a beautiful falls and right in town!) the DOC visitor center and the train station as well as the Cafe and village store.

Some of the guests stayed up a bit late in the common area which was adjacent to the rooms but no worries, that’s what earplugs are for! Would be nice to have a comfy shaded spot to sit outdoors.

Convenient location, some road noise but not a bother. Very clean, very well appointed and stocked. More than I was expecting for the kitchen, which was appreciated without having many food options nearby (which Tash had included this information in her welcome email prior to arrival for us to know). Tash was very helpful and informative. She went above and beyond to contact me when I left my laptop in the room after checking out. Thank you!

Screens on the windows would be nice, but I think that it is a common thing to not have them in NZ as most places we stayed did not have them. The weather is so nice out though that it's nice to have the windows open, but you have to look out for those sneaky black sand flies.

Spacious, recently renovated rooms. Spacious and well equipped shared kitchen and dining area. Just be aware that the town doesn’t have much in terms of restaurants/they close early. Make sure to bring your own food/milk etc. there is a great kitchen for you to use to cook. If you don’t want to cook, I wouldn’t recommend staying in the town of Arthur’s pass overall. Spacious bathroom with good water pressure. Red, from across the road was very helpful and available (at check in as there isn’t always someone at the desk, and then at one point as we locked ourselves out by accident). Laundry facilities were available (and much needed by this stage of the trip). Well located.

Room was a little bit dusty- not visibly, but did undoubtedly set off my dust allergies. We weren’t staying long, otherwise we would’ve looked into trying to re vacuum the room. Despite this, would definitely stay here again if I needed to stay in Arthur’s pass.

Our room was bigger and well-equipped, offering a restful retreat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. and the amenities made our stay enjoyable. Nestled in the heart of Arthur's Pass National Park, the location is simply unbeatable. We were surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and had easy access to hiking trails and other outdoor activities. The cleanliness of the motel was impressive. Our room was spotless

One downside was that the motel often felt unattended, with no receptionist on-site. We had to call a mobile number for assistance, which was a bit inconvenient.

It has been a great stay, the room is clean and the best thing is there's a heater in the toilet! So the shower was enjoyable and not too cold. The commune kitchen is very well equipped and the location is fantastic as we could easily walk to see the Devils Punchbowl! The views are stunning! Just too bad we only spent a night and we couldn't do the walks and paths. Thank you for the night.

Walls between rooms are quite thin though so we could hear next door patrons going in and out of their room.

Great location in the centre of the village, close to lots of gorgeous walks. Spacious, comfortable en-suite room with good kitchen facilities and heating (which we did need!). Helpful recommendations from staff.

The road was busier than we expected but that would be the same for any centrally located property as there’s only really one road! We would have appreciated a later check in option as we had a 7 hour drive so felt a bit under pressure to get there by 5pm.

Very clean. Great location. Comfortable. Very good kitchen facilities. Bring you own food/snacks as everything closes early. Beautiful scenery.

Unfortunately as travelling from Europe had communication issues with host. She was very unpleasant on phone. We arrived at 5.55 in the evening, not exactly late. She said she had sent self-checkin details and where the keys were. We had no communication re the keys. Also no checkout details. Finally met a member of staff who was lovely and super helpful.

We loved the convenient location, the shared kitchen with our room attached and we enjoyed sitting outside at the table and chairs nearby.

The road noise from our room meant we couldn’t have the window open. We also wished for a more comfortable outdoor seating area or somewhere to sit out of the weather with windows because the room windows were frosted and kitchen dining area only had a skylight and window looking into the bushes.
