The owners are lovely and always happy to help out with trip planning and local recommendations. It's also great to see accommodation that has reception hours, meaning you can check-in at a time that suits you. The breakfast was amazing! Each morning fresh bread, pastries, and eggs from their chickens were put out on the side as well as juices in the fridge. The shared kitchen is great and pleasant to use as it never gets too busy.

It would have been nice if the windows had mesh over them so they could be opened at night without fear of mosquitos entering. The washing machine injects powder automatically, which means you don't get to use your own detergent or control how much is added. We found that it wasn't enough for the state of our sportswear. But I am really nitpicking here, we had a lovely time, wished we could have stayed longer, and would go back in a heartbeat!

The room was big enough. No TV in the room but there was a separate entertainment room with movies, netflix and an arcade machine in the other house. We also liked that it was a quiet location where you could rest well, the breakfast was really varied and included many home made products, but if you want to get the best of the delicious pastries, better start your breakfast early 😉. Another thing we really appreciated was the fact that the shared kitchen and dining area were in a separate house and you would not hear anything while resting.

Nothing comes to mind. It was a really pleasant stay 🙂

Fantastic accommodation. The bedroom was comfy and well equipped. The shared kitchen, lounge and dining area were spacious and very well equipped. There was a very good choice of hot drinks. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice of food and juices. Each room has their own basket in the kitchen to put their food in and there were two big fridges, so plenty of space for chilled food to be stored. The location is lovely and quiet, with really nice gardens to walk and relax in. There is also plenty of outdoor seating, as well as indoor seating. The only slight thing was that the walls of the bedrooms are a little thin as we could hear the guests in the adjoining rooms, albeit not very loudly and only when close to the walls in our room.

Lovely location . Really beautiful property. Fun to be in the communal kitchen and meet fellow travelers.

Mattress was a little thin for my liking but fine for my husband. Very , very cold in the rooms. Did not realize heaters were available upon request. Wish I had known that! That information was available in the folder in the room but I did not see the folder until I was packing up to leave! My fault but would highly recommend that heaters are in the rooms and not only available by request. Walls are thin. All in all, enjoyed my stay.

The communal areas are really good and there are fresh eggs, bread and pastries for a diy breakfast. There is also a bbq for guest use and lots of seating both inside and outside. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed meeting and chatting to other guests. We found it really helpful to be able to use the washing machine and tumble drier. The owners are really friendly and offered lots of suggestions for places to visit.

The décor in the rooms is a little dated.

Amazing place - eco-friendly set up in a really attractive location - fruit trees, grape vines, trees, pond, wildlife. Very welcoming hosts. Superb breakfast with lots of options provided in large communal kitchen where you are welcome to cook your own evening meals if you want to. We opted to eat at The Smoking Barrel in Motueka (strongly recommend) - driving back in the dark afterwards was a little hairy as the Lodge is at the end of a side road off the main road through Motueka.

Rustic and beautiful. So close to the National park. Peaceful. Breakfast was so good. Minos! I mean minos... Come on! What a guy. It's such a lovely place to stay. Wake up to birdsong and great coffee. Had such a wonderful couple of days here, I wanted to move in.

Not much at all. I didn't get to meet the dogs and that was the greatest shame..Would like more cheese at breakfast as there's a cheese shop. I like cheese, Bathroom wasn't perfect, could maybe be a bit more modern, a bit cleaner but that's it really.

Large room and king bed, freshly painted, double glazing, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, although self serve, the food was very fresh, bakery quality. Loved the country atmosphere and welcome.

Shower Door great fairly modern, but rest of bathroom dated and rather small, loud fan in the bathroom when the light was turned on. Again the heater in the room, when using with a fan setting it was loud. To cut done noise, turn the fan off. Noticed although kitchen very clean, the extractor fans above cooktop could use a deep clean as not to welcome any unwanted critters (insects).

Incredible lodge stay for 1 night with the family. Hosts were extremely welcoming and provided an incredible breakfast buffs to set us all up for the day. Well stocked kitchen allowed us to make meals and the cheese shop on site was a welcome bonus! The kids loved playing on the arcade machine too (and watching me play!). The location is great as only 10 mins drive from Kaiteri beaches and very close to some excellent cafes and craft beer places in Riwaka. Thanks.

Nothing. Everything was just perfect.

The owners put their whole heart into this lodge! The grounds are kept well with fruit trees, herbs and chickens on the property which provide for the included breakfast. The cooking facilities are amazing with all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you need in the shared space. Close to Kaiteriteri and with amazing views to the hills where the sun sets.

Might be just a personal preference but the cat, (referred to as assistant manager ;) ) was on the kitchen bench and on the breakfast table in the shared space, which I don’t like. Having it around to pet and cuddle is great, but not up on the bench.
