Clarion’s service was superb. Unfortunately, I can‘t rate the hotel itself since we got rebooked to the Quality Hotel nearby by the Clarion Service (overbooking). The employees informed us in due course, the other hotel was very very close (300m), the room in the other hotel was fantastic with view on the harbor, we had the same meal plan as previously booked and the dinner and breakfast was fantastic. For this, we hardly had any effort since the rebooking was done completely by Clarion. I‘m glad and highly appreciate that the hotel offered us an option minimum the same standard as theirs. We‘d be glad to come back to Clarion and actually try it.

The hotel was in a perfect location right by the harbor and water. Gorgeous views, lots of restaurants, and places to grab coffee all around the hotel. Everything was within a 20-30 minute walk, and public transport was very close to catching the bus to the various beaches north of Bodø. The staff were kind and friendly and answered lots of questions about the surrounding area. I felt welcomed right away! The room was very comfortable, the bed was super comfortable and the food was exceptional 👌 They offer breakfast, tea time, and dinner for such a reasonable price. For a solo traveler, this was the perfect spot. I'll be back in Bodø "this summer, and I'll def be staying here again.

Home Hotel has good breakfast and dinner. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful, even before our stay. They attended quickly to my requests. The hotel can be walked to but we took much taxi since we have four, making it more comfortable and convenient. There is a bit of road work to the train station. The hotel is next to a shopping centre and shopping street. We walked to Pust sauna at night for the best experience nearby.

Amazing meal service - breakfast, teatime desserts, evening meal all included.

No bath mat for stepping out of the shower. Safety hazard on slippery tile floor. Had to use towel to wipe up the floor and then wouldn’t have been able to use towel again if staying multiple nights. Would have to request new towel each night, which defeats the purpose of trying to be green. Bath may would make more sense. Also, no wash cloth, but that is often typical in European hotels.

The food was really nice and a nice bonus to get evening meal too. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and big and clean, maybe slightly dated compared to more modern hotels but I found the bed extremely comfortable and slept the best I have in a long time. We had three dogs and didn’t feel like we were given a worse room due to that, in fact the room was really nice and large. The rituals products always are nice in clarion hotels. We will definitely stay here again on a return trip.

Clarion Collection Hotel Grand Bodø is very centrally located, right next to Glashuset, Koch Shopping Center and the main shopping street (Storgata), 5 minutes walking away from the inner harbor. Museums like the Salmon Center are also within easy walking distance. The hotel prides itself with being environmentally friendly and "hyggelig" (cosy) - and it really is. The breakfast room/dining room is spacious and there's soft background music playing. The breakfast buffet is very rich and provides something for everyone. The rooms only get cleaned on request if you're staying for more than 1 night, which is in line with their environmentally friendly presentation, and was also preferred by me. Included in my stay was breakfast, afternoon cakes and dinner - unfortunately I wasn't often able to take advantage of this abundance due to my plans. The front desk staff is very friendly, they allowed me to store my rental bike in the hotel garage. The Wifi was very stable and reliable.

There was nothing I didn't like, actually, except that my stay in Bodø was too short. Expectations exceeded.

This is our second stay in a Clarion hotel; we stayed in Harstad recently and loved it. This hotel did not disappoint, with hard working and friendly staff, great food and an excellent value package with dinner and breakfast and fika included and hot drinks available all day. Good size room and bathroom, very clean and comfortable. The chef made us vegetarian and fish meals each night. The location is very central and the soundproofing excellent as the paving outside was being replaced . Bodo is the European city of culture in 2024 and the city is working hard to succeed. We took a bus to the whirlpools at Saltstraumen, and were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights over the harbour at night.

Nice comfy rooms with decent size bathrooms (innovative shower design that doesn’t take up too much room but opens out when you need it) Great location- 20 mins walk to airport, 15 to ferry port and 10 mins to station. Breakfast was really good- lots of options, and the little cakes at 3-5pm plus free buffet dinner option was lovely. Quiet and peaceful in the room. Nice building with little nooks and display cabinets for character.

Excellent staff, very accommodating and friendly. We were offered early check-in and late check-out with no extra charge (given the availability). Hot coffee welcomed us when we went in from the very windy Bodo. The room is clean and everything works as expected. The breakfast option is plenty.

Evening meal options could be wider. The hairdryer smells like burning after just a couple of minutes of usage.

Hotel very well placed but the most important were people, very helpful during booking, many messages proactive and also the people from the hotel. Really appreciate you, gentlemen! Also, they have offerings for activities at the reception and offer an included dinner that can be very valuable if you are hungry, tired and on budget. Breakfast very good, for 1-3 days s lot of variety.

Around the hotel is a construction yard that blocks the streets. Noise was a few around 10-11 in the morning, no problem at evening. Dinner is very simple, if you don’t like pasta or mayonese … not much there. But is free, so it’s giving you the choice to eat there or go for a better place. We spotted at least 2 good places to eat in the center.
