Quiet and conveniently located from the train station (and bus alternative) The Clarion staff offered a warm welcome on arrival. The room was spacious, quiet and clean with a comfortable bed and well appointed modern bathroom. It was nice that supper was included, however there were no vegetarian/ vegan options on display. They did offer one when asked but this turned out to not to be suitable for details listed in the negative part of the review. As a result we skipped the evening meal on our second night as we did not feel confident after the incident. Breakfast had plenty of options for all dietary needs, freshly prepared and served in a large spacious dining area. The Clarion is a great place to stay outside of Oslo with plenty of trains, and a good comfortable and well priced stay.

My partner did explain and list her food allergies when discussing to the vegetarian option with the chef only to have her allergen in the dish which she was served! Clearly not listening actively or appreciating the seriousness of a severe allergic response. The receptionist was quick to get the list of ingredients to us and we were able treat appropriately but someone else might not have been so lucky. I would recommend that as a guest you clearly list any allergies before arrival. Also the catering staff could be better trained/ educated regarding allergic reactions/ allergens and how to avoid a potential life threatening anaphylactic response.

In a big city like Drammen, this hotel was the best choice I could find for a family with breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is the normal one like in every hotel. Our first day dinner was very good with options. Second day dinner was not that good as first days. Consider that you are staying at home and will use the remaining from the other day for dinner. It was like that. Staff was helpful. Room was good. We got the room to the side of the road (flyover). Since it was sunny days (24-25 degrees), room was warm and we had to open the windows. But the road nearby was always busy (it seems) and noisy even during night. Other than that it was a good stay. If we travel next time, we prefer a room on the other side. There was car parking available overnight with 250 NKR per day. Only 30-45 mins drive to Oslo. Coffee,Tea and water always available. Nice gym in the basement.

I don't normally write reviews, but I needed to for this hotel, because it was so nice. We loved the breakfasts with multiple choices. I liked the pickled herring and smoked salmon while my wife preferred the eggs, fruit, granola and yogurt. We both liked the fresh baked bread which was delicious. Dinners were good too. I also liked the size of the room, and the staff was so helpful.

Nothing. An excellent stay

The hotel has very nice rooms and the breakfast although a little crowded for early worker rush at 06:30 is excellent. The evening meal being included in the price is a really good touch with lots of good options and great staples. Free coffee through the day as well all in all an excellent place to have stayed.

The wifi was a bit slow and intermittent but eveything else was excellent.

When we arrived we were told that the dinner was included in the price. What a surprise! The room as such was nice but maybe the ceiling was a little low for a person of my length. (It was a room that looked like it had been added on top of the building.) The breakfast was equally nice as the dinner, I found everything that I wanted.

You need to know where you have your cars corner if you use their garage facilities...

Can’t rave about it enough. First floor room was spacious with 10’ ceilings. The dinner and breakfast were the best. The staff were so friendly and engaging and a beer tap by the reception with just the right beers.

The shower water could have been a little warmer…yeah, big deal, too many pluses.

The room was nice. Good beds. Nice showet. Rituals soap in the bathroom was a extra luxury Upon arrival there was free coffee and cake. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was great Nice walk to the city center

Everything was great!

The fact that dinner and breakfast is included, the gym is a decent gym (other hotells just have shitty stuff for the marketing), breakfast was on point - eggs were delish!

The price was really low compare to other equivalent hotels. They also included the dinner and breakfast in the price.

The parking lot was dark and dirty. It definitely doesn't match the nice hotel above.
