Well equipped

No free carpark attached with the motel! That’s normal in Norway, Then we book for BnB is better? At lease we don’t need to pay for parking which is really ridiculous? Parking overnight can almost match the hotel fee! There must be something wrong with the whole Northern Europe? In Australia & USA, we never need to pay extra parking fee for the hotel!

The hotel is comfy and perfectly located downtown.

Reception should be clearer with how to use the parking. Many parkings in Norway are paiement when leaving. This one is not. I got a fine for not putting a ticket on arrival. You don't expect this to happen when parking at the hotel parking.

Super nice and helpful staff at the reception. The breakfast room is really special, with a wooden candle lighted cosy setting in basement. But selection is fantastic.

The bathroom has a super loud ventilation which lets the whole room vibrate.

Friendliness of the staff

Parking costs at the roof of the hotel which only allowed to pay for 24 hours even though the machine suggested a smaller number of hours would be possible as well. The powercord of the hairdryer was totally torn apart, in our previous visit to the same hotel and room it wasn't like that and the wall had some new damage (both reported to reception). Another keycard was still in the holder inside the room and all lights were turned on. Almost seemed like a previous guest hadn't checked out yet.

Genuine warm welcome, good size room, very convenient for ferry

Poor breakfast. We needed prompt 6.30am breakfast as catching early ferry. Breakfast room not opened until 6.35am after hammering on locked door. Hot food was cold, eggs hard. Orange juice dispenser empty, no cereals available, no napkins. Only 1 person to manage breakfast.......they need to employ more staff. The bathroom was a bit whiffy....inadequate ventilation or a blockage somewhere.

Breakfast was great. Many options available. Located directly along the Markens Gate shopping street in downtown Kristiansand and only a short walk from the train station. Very convenient.

Centrally located, big restaurant for breakfast and a great variety of food at breakfast (but really bad coffee)

The bathroom needs renovation

Friendly staff, comfortable room, was very accommodating of us having a toddler and already had a bed set up for him before we got there, along with a great breakfast that’s included with the stay!

Clean, well located, room very practical. Near to the ferry station. Helpful staff we left pretty early and we could have our breakfast as a Takeaway and it was very well served.

Good big room for family. Plenty of bed spaces for a family of five. Staff has well prepared our room with sofa bed opened ready for sleep.

Ventilation in bathroom was quite dusty.
