Good hotel with nice and clean room overlooking the nearby mountains, lake and river. The hotel was situated just at the edge of Odda at a lake. This hotel is an ideal “base camp “ if you want to hike to the Trolltunga. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the parking lot P2. The restaurant also served well prepared and delicious meals.

The layout of the breakfast bar is a bit awkward. There is a bit less room to move around. It can be especially crowded if you want to take your breakfast early (6 am) and lots of other people do so as well, planning to hike to the Trolltunga. But if you take breakfast after 7.30 it usually is quite a bit calmer.

Excellent location with short drive to Trolltunga trailhead and parking, and pretty location overlooking the water. Room was small but very comfortable, perfectly clean, good shower. Breakfast was delicious and one of the best we had in Norway. We also ate dinner at the restaurant which was very tasty, the restaurant has all glass walls so you can enjoy the view. A drying room is available for your outdoor gear too.

Only complaint about the room is lack of electrical sockets - only one double socket that was accessible in the room, and awkwardly placed for use - maybe add an extension?

The beds and room allocated for what we paid was not proportional. Especially since it was low season. On our last day upon check out they closed the rest area because there was no available staff due to illness. We asked for late checkout and this was declined, so for me closing the reception when it should have been open as we had paid for this wasn't polite. But life happens.

Cute little hotel by the river. This hotel is great to stay at if you’re doing the Trolltunga hike through Trolltunga active as they do an info meeting the night before in the lobby. Breakfast is buffet style, simple but good. There is a dry room which also came in handy since my hiking shoes got wet from hiking in the snow and I needed to use them the following day. Recommend to get a room by the river for the views and sounds of the water. Met the owner and he seemed cool

Let me start off by saying - this place has "meh" reviews on google - for the life of me I cannot understand why - maybe because they were posted before renovations? Either way, the property and room (albeit the room I was in was simple) - was clean, new, and I couldn't believe the views I woke up to out of my window. The restaurant was fantastic - the location is perfect and the staff went above and beyond to help me with any question I had, made sure to leave a key out for me when I arrived weary at 4am after a long car drive and even helped me with laundry services. I know where I am going to stay when I am back in southern Norway!

Breakfast was super good. Very good coffee, bread, salmon and meat, and home made jams. The location is great in case you also have an activity booked with Trolltunga Active. The meetings happen the day before your activity inside this hotel so that is very convenient. You can also walk over a bridge and along the lake. The views are stunning. You can walk from the hotel into town but it's a little hilly. We booked a triple room which was very spacious and this one had his own private bathroom which was super spacious as well. We booked a double room with sharing bathroom and that was a good option as well. In the morning, it was only a 20 min drive up to Parking A nearby Trolltunga Active store and starting point for the Overnight Trolltunga hike.

Would highly recommend staying here if you are thinking of booking the Trolltunga hike or in general. The hotel was easy to get to and from via bus, we jumped on a bus from Bergen to Odda (and back). We stayed 3 nights and it was nice to return to lovely clean room with a great view after a long hike. Staff are lovely and breakfast was great.

A tiny room, quiet and comfotable, with a magnificent view. Fabulous breakfast. Breakfast room also has a great view over the river. Breakfast served from 6am which is great for hikers. The lady on Reception was very nice.

The bathroom was tiny, and had no shower curtain, so the bathmat got soaked. Probably best to leave the bathmat outside the bathroom door. Squeezee provided to clear water from floor.

Even though the size of the room is a bit small, however, I am in love with a small space only if it is equipped with all of the essential facilities, the room does look like a cozy dorm, which satisfied me anyway. Besides, the lower canteen and lobby bar are all very impressive with beautiful natural landscapes.

If the light is lighter in the room would be more appreciated since it can be a bit difficult to read at night.

Comfortable, spacious room, with great view over the lake and rapids. Beautiful smelling hand soap in the bathroom. Really good breakfast. Nice staff on reception. This hotel also has a bar, and very nice outdoor areas for relaxing.

Minor issues with noise. The bathroom door, and the entry door to Room 225 need oiling. The squeaking was loud enough to wake someone up if the bathroom was used at night. While the view over the river was fabulous, the river was quite noisy, even with the windows closed.
