The hotel was really nice and clean. We stayed in a deluxe room with a sea view, which was spacious and even featured a starry ceiling above the bed! The hotel has its own beach with snack bars, where you can grab a bite throughout the day. The beach is beautiful, and the calm sea is perfect for swimming. However, if you arrive later in the morning, you may struggle to find an available sunbed, as many guests reserve theirs by leaving towels. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets are fantastic, with delicious food options!

The main restaurant is too small for the number of guests, making it difficult to find a free table. For a five-star hotel, I expected a better bed; I could feel every movement of my partner. Additionally, we found it unfortunate that with the all-inclusive package, there were plenty of drinks and snacks at the beach bars that we could not enjoy for free.

- Good property and good rooms. - We had a view of the pool and the sea. - Special mention to Wessam (from Egypt) at the front desk who accommodated all our requests.

- The view of the room shown in booking.com is inaccurate. If you do book, make sure you call the hotel to reconfirm if you will get a similar room. - I am vegetarian and the food options for me were very very limited. Especially the dinner buffet. Or even the room service food options are not great for vegetarians. Breakfast buffet was good - There's dredging and construction work going on right at the beach. Please check this. - Also the beach in front of the hotel is not really a beach but a man-made one so you won't see the vast expanse of the sea in front of you but more like two cycling/walking paths being constructed in front of you.

The furniture was a bit old (stained chair) The staff didn’t show flexibility to extend my late check out by just one hour to match my flight. Would have been a nice gesture especially that the hotel was not busy at all at this time.

The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive. The food offered a nice variety that catered to different cultures. The pool was quiet small, but still really enjoyable. I asked for a late check-out and they were very accommodating. While the location is about 30 minutes from the city, I actually found it perfect—it’s right in the middle of all the popular spots you'd want to visit.

The beach wasn’t the best, and there was some ongoing construction nearby that caused a bit of noise during the day. The room floor would get wet pretty easily, likely due to the humidity—seems like the AC system could use some improvement.

the only 2 points that would have made our stay even better are: -more benches from the hotel towards the Marina: it could be so nice to seat in the evening and listen to the ocean -more evening entertainment on the site like live music, dancing or animation etc as after dinner we felt like having some fun or entertaining activities but there were very few events (we attended the Magic show at Marina 👏, though it takes some walking which might not be easy for some elderly guests) * Hotel needs to put a tip box for the employees of different departments to share 😉

First: The Hotels The hotel is wonderful and one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited, whether it's the main hotel, Al Fanar Hotel, Al Fanar Club Hotel, Rotana Hotel, Juweira Hotel, or any of the Hawana Salalah hotels. The hotel's location, swimming pools, beaches, green spaces, activities, and proper organization of this entire resort, of this size, with such precision and professionalism in management and providing the highest standards of quality. Second: The Staff There is no way to describe the professionalism of the staff and workers in all the hotel's facilities and departments. They are extremely kind, always smiling, and cooperative. They can be considered friends in one place. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Sienna, who is a wonderful, professional, and kind person. Abu Bakr is extremely kind and helpful to the guests. Hamada is a very cooperative employee. Every employee, from the administration, reception, support staff, car service, room service, restaurant staff, chefs, assistants, club staff, and spa staff, is professional, kind, and friendly. Third: The Rooms The rooms are professionally designed, comfortable, and have everything one could need in a hotel stay. They are of high quality in terms of soundproofing, lighting, furnishings, cleanliness, service, and comfort. Fourth: Food The variety of restaurants and the professionalism of the food are wonderful in every hotel, whether it's the Souq Restaurant, Zafran, Rotana Club, waves , or any of the other restaurants. They are very distinguished in terms of cleanliness. The quality of the food and the variety of meals were so varied that we never got bored. Although our reservation was all inclusive with 3 meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the variety of food and restaurants made you feel like you were experiencing the place for the first time. My greetings and respect to all the chefs and assistant chefs without exception. Fifth: Providing assistance.

I had an excellent experience during my stay at Fanar Hotel and Residence in Salalah. Everything was perfect from start to finish. A special thank you to the amazing reception team – Abdullah and Wala – for their warm welcome and outstanding service. Also, big thanks to Supervisor Fayaz for his kindness and generosity, especially for the lovely dinner! The aqua park was a highlight – absolutely fantastic! My kids had an unforgettable time and enjoyed every moment.

Truly, there was nothing I didn’t like. It was a perfect family getaway, and I’m looking forward to coming back again soon!

We enjoyed every moment of our 4-day stay. The rooms (we've opted for two adjacent rooms to get some peace and comfort from our teenage boys). The catering. The location. The huge park around the hotel where you won't meet other guests, though it was fully booked. But most of all we liked the terrific beach! Of all Salalah beach hotels (there are many) FANAR has its own lagoon beach which make it possible to enjoy the pure and clean Indian Ocean waters - when all the other beaches in the area are red-flagged and closed due to rough seas. Have to mention the hotel staff who were mostly helpful and ready to assist and advice, especially Mr. Dahy at the reception, who managed to solve all our little issue in no time.

For those who will come first time to Salalah make a note that you'll have to pay for all extra services on the spot: cash or card but at once, i.e. room service, pool bar, cafe, etc. You cannot just sign the bill 'on the room'. Not a big deal, but in my humble experience it's quite a rare case.
