They were very friendly during check-in. Separate from the resort, I had hired a private driver who attempted to extort me. Luckily I escaped the situation and a driver from the resort picked me up. Still, the driver continued to contact me asking for money and threatening to call the police. He even called the hotel several times. After explaining the situation the hotel staff were very understanding and helped to ward him off. Long story short, the staff will make you feel safe here! Anyway, they offer a range of fun cultural and physical activities to try. I did the Bedouin house tour, Sunset drive, Sand Boarding (highly recommend, good fun), and Camel ride. The food at the restaurant is good and portions are generous. The pool was nice and I wish I used it more.

I just wish there were more people at the resort when I was there. It was a little eerie being one of four reserved groups there. Also, the wifi could use an upgrade because the connection was spotty and slow. Otherwise no complaints.

We drove to the resort ourselves (after a lot of research) and it was a great experience, waved at a few camels en route. Room and bathroom were gorgeous, breakfast and dinner enjoyable, we spent the afternoon around the pool and treated ourselves to a few cocktails, which although expensive were average cost in Oman. We walked up the dunes in the morning for sunrise which was lovely. Staff friendly and professional. There were spa treatments available, it would have been good to have a price list in the room. It's hard to believe this little oasis is in the middle of the desert and we enjoyed our 1 night there.

It's a shame the resort doesn't run on solar power as you can hear the generator in some parts of the resort, I was hoping to experience the complete silence of the desert - however we were able to do this at the top of the dunes.

The staff were absolutely incredible. My wife and I are vegan and the staff made sure we had plenty of options for food and even made meals specially prepared for us and freshly made, even homemade freshly made oat milk. We felt very looked after. The place is lovely, spa massage was great and the room was perfect. The drive in a 4 wheel drive car isn't too bad so don't be scared to drive there on your own if you have a 4 wheel drive car, just make sure you get there before sunset.

The resort is clean and the rooms are very nice. The layout of the villas is made in a good way that makes it easy to go around. Getting there was easy. From the starting point, there are a few signs on the way, plus the track is well defined. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They did everything to make sure we were comfortable during our stay.

Not much activities available, at the time of stay they didn't have buggies available for rent. We had to get them from another resort.

A cut above the rest. Real rooms rather than tents. Very comfy beds. All around pool with a bar that sells alcoholic drinks. Very kind staff. A quick walk from the dunes and silence. Good overall dinner buffet and a reasonable breakfast. If you want the traditional Omani desert experience, this is not for you. But if you want all the comfort of a city hotel in the middle of the desert - with a swimming pool - then this is your only choice.

Breakfast could do with a live egg station but was perfectly acceptable. No fresh bread was a pity. It is possible to freeze bread and take it out in the morning. This would have made a welcome addition. Same goes for the croissants.

The best hotel complex in the dunes, great pool and bar, accommodation far exceeded our expectations. We went off-season so hotel was quiet so had the place virtually to ourselves for 2 nights. We recommend going half board as no other food option and there was plenty of good food provided. Spa was an extra bonus with great service.

Very little not to like here and will use again on our next visit

Very nice facility in the middle of the desert. Very quiet, amazing dinner and good breakfast. Loved the heated pool !

- Getting to the camp (27km of sand track) is not easy with a SUV, 2/3 dunes are hard to pass. The escort services from the camp are a bit expensive (30 OMR) - Power cut at the end of dinner, intermittent light and internet the whole night. Apologised during the dinner but no mention of this in the morning or checkout - no activity / ambiance / bonfire at night, the whole camp was a bit dead (but it was low season it seems) - given the price of the room, some simple activities activities prices like sandboard seem overpriced (30mn for 15 OMR? I forgot)

Super sweet efficient and considerate staff. Orange sand all around. The fantastic peace at night. The warm pool. Excellent quiet aircon. Great omelettes. Turkey and on Christmas day. Great hot shower, comfy bed in charming roomy spotless chalet. Camel riding for sunset. The fun drive to get there. It's the second time we have been to the Sharqiyah sands and they are magical.

Only small things. It isn't really a 'spa'. The camel ride could have been to somewhere other than the mast with its noisy generator. It would have been ideal if the transfer vehicle had a sign identifying it. The pool bar is characterless - white tiles - needs something on the walls. The gas firepit is noisy and doesn't warm you - a real fire would have been much nicer. It would have been lovely to have had a dark area for star gazing out of the wind.

Friendly, professional and very responsive staff. Very clean facility. Food was very well catered to the guests. And surprisingly very good choice of wine collection.

The resort was excellent. The staff was excellent. The food was excellent. Only disappointment was that there was no evening music, Arabian nights show or anything like that. Therefore, one very important feedback - it is in everyone’s interest that during booking it is informed to the customers that evening celebrations (Arabian nights show and music) is only available on weekends or when there is large occupancy. This will help avoid disappointments for any future bookings 🙏🏼

Location, middle of the desert. Really quiet. Rented a 4x4 Suv, and followed escort provided by escort(fee). If you are going by yurself, don’t forget to deflate your tires before heading into the resort. If you like to try desert road, the its a blast. Very friendly staff, good food considering it is in the desert, clean rooms.

All the activities are on the higher side(price)
