From the moment I was picked up at the airport, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Every staff member I encountered at The Stanley Hotel was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and dedicated to making my stay memorable. Having been away from the country for some time, returning home to such comfort and high-quality service was truly heartwarming. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast and dinner buffets, the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The service throughout was nothing short of outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with my dad and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone at The Stanley Hotel who made our visit so special.

Great location next to a big mall, easy access from level 1. Mall has lots of food options. Friendly staff and happy to chat. Breakfast was amazing, totally recommend it. Courtesy bottled water was a bonus. Beautiful balcony over looking the pool area. We had a washing machine and dryer that was so nice. Courtesy shampoo and conditioner was really nice too. Pool was refreshing and very clean.

We had a full kitchen but no cleaning supplies given - no dish cloths, tea towels, detergent etc. Our bed was really hard, and prevented me from sleeping well. That's why I rated the beds poorly. But other beds in the 2nd room were really comfy. I reckon if we had asked for another mattress they would have got us one though - with a smile.

Pool was a decent size. Bed was comfortable. Food and beverages were excellent. Highlight was the staff. In particular Emily and Hilda who are servers in the main restaurant.

No pool side drinks/food service outside of the weekend. No hooks anywhere in the room or bathroom to hang towels. Called down to reception 3 times over our 3 days asking for house maintenance to put some hooks up. Never happened. We purchased our own. Called down to reception for a hair dryer twice and never got one so we asked a passing room cleaner if we could borrow one from another room.

I like nearly every thing, well set up, clean, and friendly staff.

I didn't like the mattresses used at the non exective rooms, like level 7 we stayed. The mattresses were thick but easily bends that makes laying down on it uncomfortable. Your back pains and makes turning, and getting out difficult. Mattresses at the exective level rooms are firm and comfortable. Few maintenance issues on the doors needs repairs but are not given priority. It's posses security risk for guests especially women. There's only one chair in the room. There's no spare chair for the second guest or visitors. Needs immediate attention.

For $319 per night I would have expected a better quality room. The staff were exceptional and very accommodating. The. Breakfast buffet outstanding. The room although nice and clean was very basic for the price and what I’m used to paying for a $300 a night room. Whilst it was a suite it would have been nice to have a comfortable chair and additional seating etc. I usually stay at the Grand Papua and I was expecting something similar. However the location and having the mall is excellent

We liked that the rooms were serviced daily fresh towels and bed made up. The food was generous and the accessibility to different amenities just makes this an excellent choice.

The bathroom whilst clean and fresh towels were provided, we did notice cockroaches in the bathroom. If the bathrooms in the deluxe rooms be fumigated periodically, that would be beneficial to the hotel. Another thing to add not saying we didn't like it, but for improvement, the temperature on the floor we stay on was extremely cold. (General elevator lobby and corridor to rooms)

Great location. The local staff in particular drivers and lobby staff were excellent, especially, William, who went above and beyond, helping with luggage and showing us around the foyer and restaurants and second entrance to the hotel.

Nothing but if i have to say something it is a place for the 'privileged', and you notice the stark difference in class inside and when out of the hotel, but unfortunately that is life in Port Moresby.

I like everything about Stanley Hotel, the staff, food, comfortable bed, cleanliness, pool and professional staff.

I did not like my room service order for breakfast was not handled adequately. I suggest that the staff must always listen to write down the order and then repeat it back to ensure that the order is correct. In this case the staff was talking whilst I was given the order resulting incorrect order because she did not really listen.

Highlight was the silver leaf restaurant. Staff friendly and price was great for the quality of hotel.

Breakfast was included but there was confusion on where we were to go to have buffet. We thought it was ground floor. Asked staff at door and she said we had to pay. Later we found out she should have said the breakfast included is upstairs. But just ushered us in, with us unaware there was a second buffet We ended up paying which was not supposed to happen and when checking out and querying, were told that our included breakfast was upstairs so we spent over 175K on a plate of bacon and eggs and some Pancakes fruit and 2 coffees and a tea. Left a bit disappointed.

Top location as the Stanley backs on to the the mall with easy security access from level 1. High end restaurant with buffet breakfast and dinner, with the option to fine dining. Super friendly staff happy to help with any requirements.

A little mix up with room reservations as had family with same name staying as well, due to maybe staff not fully checking pre booked information.
