The owner MJ (Filipina) and George (German) are very warm and welcoming. Their staff is friendly and accommodating. Our bungalow was minimalistic but very clean and placed in a nice green garden - you have a lot of privacy. The starlink internet is excellent (fast and stable enough for working), the fridge helps you to keep your drinks cool, and the aircon is a great bonus on hot days. In 5 days we had 2 short power outages which only lasted a few minutes but Georg also keeps a generator on hand. We loved the location - the beach is probably the best on the whole island and good for beginner and intermediate surfers. You can get lessons, rent surfboards and scooters as well as get a massage in your room from the locals - the Bamboo Crew is happy to organise it for you. There are nice restaurants around, including the one that belongs to the resort (diverse menu with lots of vegetarian dishes). Overall it's pretty quiet, relaxing, and good for exploring sights like the rock pools or the water fall. Beware: It's an hour drive to General Luna and Cloud Nine, so if you'd like to stay in a busier area, Bamboo Surf Beach might not be the right fit for you. Do your research before you book! George and I are from the same city (Hamburg) which I didn't know before booking. He is a pretty funny guy and always up for a chat. We booked a day tour with him and he showed us the best spots and restaurants on the island (but he also gives you recommendations without booking the tour). We arranged the airport pickup and drop off as well which was handy and on time. Overall, we had a pretty relaxing holiday and wished we could have stayed longer. We'll be back for sure! Nothing major, we really enjoyed our time in the little resort and met some interesting people. The good thing is also that you can openly talk to the staff about anything and they always try to find the best solution for you.

I really loved this establishment since it felt more like home than being away at a hotel. This place is a solid 11 on 10…yes an 11! My only regret is that I could not stay any longer. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting the owners George and MJ, be assured, it will be a memorable one. You cannot but love them since they are genuine individuals. Furthermore, while George takes care of his guests, his staff along with his manager Lyn will do the same in his absence. As for the food, chef Jake is unbelievable…just have a taste at his « Mango 🥭 chicken curry » and you will understand. (I had it twice in one day) Next time I will be staying longer.

For our first visit to Philippines we couldn't wish for a better host than Georg. As someone who's living here for years he gave us very valuable tips on how to get the best out of our stay in Siargao, from surfing and action-filled days to relaxing days. The cottage was really clean, and in its simplicity we could really get into the life on the island. Food was delicious and the cocktails that Georg made us... well, let's just say I wouldn't have been able to write this review quite as eloquently afterwards. We loved it so much that we decided to expand our stay for couple of more nights. If you're looking for a spot where you can easily get a hang of the island life, learn or better your surfing while eating tasty food and drinking fresh juice everyday, then this is the place for you. We had a great stay at Bamboo Surf Beach, the location is fantastic being right on the beach, the team are super friendly and helpful especially with sorting surf lessons and scooter rentals, and the Mango Curry is delicious! A nice location in the north of the island. Clean and modern accommodation. The warm welcome and pleasant staff. They helped with whatever you need like arranging mopeds or rides. The good food! The owner was super friendly and tried to connect with each of his guests. Overall, a great place to relax and explore the northern part of the island!

The hotel is in a beautiful location where you can surf and relax away from busy General Luna with more local tourists. The owner is very approachable and will help you in any way he can, giving you good tips. Staff are very friendly and again they are very helpful. They serve delicious food in the restaurant. We had a very comfortable stay.

The best place we stayed in the Philippines. The resort is absolutely beautiful, great pool and very lovely owner. The rooms are big, very clean and have everything you would expect (and more) from a 5 star hotel. Location is great as Pacifico is by far the nicest place on the island, close to great surf beaches, yoga and loads of restaurants. Highly recommend.

The rooms are right next to the beach. They also have a restaurant all day with delicious food. You must try out the noodle soup or their special dishes. All the team is super nice and helpful.
