The location is walking distance to a number of restaurants and coffee shops. The room was large. The a/c worked well, plus there was a ceiling fan. The room had a mini fridge and a safe. The enclosed shower had a rain bird shower head that must have been at 7 feet. The breakfast was excellent with hot buffet items and cooked to order eggs, french toast, and pancakes. The staff were outstanding.

Two minor issues with the pool. They had shower rooms, but only a dirt path led to the pool, so dirt was tracked into the pool. The ladder at one end of the pool had no steps. Either replace or remove. It was useless as is. They had steps at another end of the pool, so there was easy entrance and exit.

A good size and clean room. Did tour bookings at front desk and settled payment with hotel front desk. Pool looked fine however did not use it.

I would suggest a more suttle and natural scent air freshner be used than the one sprayed in the room by the cleaners. Only one door key card is provided, which is inconvenient when one person is in the room sleeping and another is out temporarily.

Pool is beautiful and the hotel is stunning. It has a European feel to it. Staff were friendly and helpful. They organised us a scooter. Breakfast was great, with an egg station and pancakes. They cater to a variety of cultures

The key pass to our room took many swipes each time to work/access our room. The hotel staff appeared to be aware of the issue and it didn’t seem a priority to fix. The shower also pooled with water every time we showered, maybe the pipes could not cope with the water quantities. After our experience with the keycard access to room, we didn’t report the shower issue, so couldn’t comment on the responsiveness. Overall it was still a very lovely hotel and we would recommend, as maintenance things come up everywhere and we love the Phillipines.

Coron is still not very developed, so not a ton of things to see or do. Must take an island tour to find a beach.. But relaxing..

We had a large clean room with an ocean view off our room and balcony. The view also included a Filipino neighborhood with children singing and waving at us. We enjoyed watching regular life taking place so close to us. The pool was very large and nice which we enjoyed swimming in or just sitting by taking in the sun from comfortable deck chairs. The buffet breakfast had a large tasty selection with something for everyone. We ate other meals at the restaurant and the food was always excellent. This place checked all the “must have” boxes for my wife and I. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. All in all we were very pleased with our stay here. It has a great ambiance in a Spanish style.

Upon arrival, the architecture and lush foliage was outstanding. Inside the property was beautifully decorated and the rooms were clean. The staff was helpful and extremely friendly. Several food options were provided and breakfast was plentiful. Close to town and everything was within walking distance. Alternatively, transportation and excursions were readily available.

Ocean view rooms overlooked unsightly living conditions below. Ants found their way into our room, so we had to be cautious to leave any food around. Pool had some algae growth around the sides. No direct beach access.

I love the architecture, the wooden stairs made of hardwood, and most especially the chess board! Also, the food was delicious! It was not repetitive. The room which was a junior suite was very spacious! I got to relax so hard by the poolside underneath the dwarf coco trees. The air was fresh and we did not smell any smoke or pollution. What we don’t like that was there was not enough tissue rolls/toiletries. There were only 2 bars of soap, one for handwashing, the other for bathing. Also, the bath towels were not large enough. The pillows were not fluffy. It felt old and made our head ached. There was no complimentary rides from the port of Coron, we have to pay a tricycle to go to the hotel. Nonetheless, it was a pleasurable stay.

The room was clean, staff was friendly, and the restaurant was good. Most of all, I loved the swimming pool was well-maintained. It has shallow area where I could stand and deeper areas where I couldn’t, making it a great place to enjoy swimming. The hotel’s location is also great. Since there are local community facilities and a school nearby, the area feels really safe. And, there are many good dive shops. I used to Boxter dive center, which was just a five minute walk away, every diving over the whole days was amazing. After returning to the hotel, take a shower, have some snacks or early dinner, relax in the pool, and go for a walk around. This rutine was truly enjoyable holidays. If I visit Coron again, I’ll definitely stay at this place again. I really hope so.

The Corto Del Mar Hotel is an excellent experience and the best option in Coron Island. Our experience was extremely positive and one of the best in my life. This amazing experience starts before you arrive at the hotel, with great information from the staff by messages/emails, amazing treatment from all the Hotel staff as soon as you arrive. They are very welcoming, helpful, supportive and so so friendly. The breakfast is amazing and has options for Philippine breakfast experience but also many other breakfast options. The rooms is clean, big, comfortable and the same as described. The pool is amazing and so relaxing.

Everything was perfect. The hotel itself is a beautiful building and located in a very central location. The staff are super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The food is excellent and the cocktails are very good quality, plus there is a happy hour where you get 2 for 1. The atmosphere is also sociable in the restaurant area and I made friends very quickly. The room was fantastic and has a great view over the water. The bed was also huge and very comfy. You'll find quality soaps in the bathroom. The hotel also offers diving tuition in case you'd like to learn. Book in advance for this. The hotel completely exceeded my expectations and I'll aim to stay here next time.
