Good sized rooms with good aircon, hot showers, and a balcony with view over the garden. Location is right by the market, so there is plenty of food options around, and within walking to both the port and the main beach with the dive centres. The cats living in the garden are adorable, private, but super friendly if you want to pet them!

Small point: there was not enough soap or shower gel in the room, and they didn’t refill them during cleaning. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach (~5-10 mins) so not perfect if you’re wanting to spend most of your time there. And the community hall behind the hotel can get pretty loud. We were there near Christmas time but there were parties almost every night. To be fair I think you hear parties wherever you are on the island, so it’s not just an issue with Starlight!

We had a very good time at the Malapascua Starlight Resort. Sandra, the owner is such a nice person and helped us out with variouse things. Furthermore, the rooms and the whole place is very comfortable and clean. The resort is located directly at the marked and a short walk away from the beach. Nevertheless it is quiet calm. We also liked the cute little cats that belong to the place.

The property is located right by the food market and a 10 minute walk to the beaches. The room was very comfortable the airconditioning was excellent and the shower was nice an hot. Staff were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

The price you pay for being in the hub of things is that the locals live nearby also and their hobby seems to be breeding cockerels. You need to be prepared for the dawn chorus of crowing. Ear plugs did the trick in my case. A fridge in the room would have been a bonus.

Good place to stay in Malapascua. Very friendly people who run the place. Good mattress and pillows. Somewhat quiet, but you hear the neighborhoods roosters in the mornings.

Pillows smelled because they were washed at too low temperatures. Shower curtain 5cm too short, meant bathroom under water after every shower. Water pressure sometimes very low. AC had a problem with the swing.

+ Room was spacious and clean, big shower, nice bathroom, rack to dry clothes and swimsuits, nice garden :) + Owner and staff are just lovely + Perfectly located at 3 minutes from the beach and next to the market where you can have delicious and cheap meals!

Room was wide and clean. Not that close to the market as to get all its noise. 5 min walk away from the beaches and nicest restaurants. Great value for money

The Roosters start at 2 am but I think that is a problem throughout the whole island!

Clean and beautiful room, nice view from the terrace. Staff were quick to respond to requests. Awesome staff. Right in front of the merkado where there's a lot of food options. Very comfortable beds and pillows. With clean towels, hot shower and bidet. CR very clean as well and well maintained.

Wifi is quite slow from the rooms but it was fine as my mobile data (Globe) worked well.

Location - Market is just 3 steps away from the resort's gate. Room - Has water heater, kettle, cabinet, towels. You can hang your wet clothes in the balcony or terrace. Drinking Water - Offers free mineral water. Payment - Booked through Booking.com but paid upon arrival through Gcash. Staff - Friendly and approachable.

It's in front of the market, but our room was at the end of the resort so was quite all the time. Aircon and hot water in shower worked very well, wifi in the room was weak but worked.
