Here's the thing. You get what you pay for, especially in Dauin since it is so dive-centric (= tourists with a slightly higher budget to spend). We visited and stayed at a few other resorts and Atlantis was most to our liking. The resort is beautifully laid out with an amazing tropical garden and the various accoms spread throughout still retaining enough privacy. Asked or a hammock for our porch and got it straight away. Welcomed with fruit, drinks and a little massage. It's funny, but it does work. Now I thought the food menu wasn't overpriced compared to the surrounding offerings. Think a very good burger w handcut fries for around 500 pesos, otherwise a good and varied menu. Breakfast was included and huge. This place is american owned and run and the breakfast gives it away haha. Now the real quality lies in the way their dive shop is operated. It is a seemless affair of 5 dives going out per day, and you can join whenever you want. There are small motorboats next to the larger outriggers which gives max. flexibility. The dive guides were excellent and know the sites very well. So you ask for some small macro stuff and you *will* see it if you dive with these guys for one or two days. Sea horses, flamboyant cuttlefish etc. just the first dive which had my mind blown. 5 dives per day will set you back 7.500 pesos, which works out to a good deal per dive. Very personable and *fun* divemasters that still seem to get a kick out of finding the weird stuff that crawls and swims around Dauin.

Slightly higher fees for marine park, car transfers etc. than elsewhere. I recommend renting a scooter in town to get around and out of Dauin which is quite small. The only relatively costly activity is the resort's Apo island trip which could be organised cheaper if you don't need a fully catered lunch on the boat etc.

We are absolutely thrilled with our stay at this hotel! Everything about it was perfect – the cleanliness, the coziness, and the beauty of the place. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We felt truly cared for, and our kids had an amazing time. The hotel was so comfortable for them, and it was hard to say goodbye. The staff deserves special praise – they were simply golden! They knew all of us by name and even remembered our food preferences. The menu was fantastic, offering something for everyone. One unforgettable moment was when our child had a birthday – they surprised us with a delightful homemade cake, even though we hadn’t requested it. Their thoughtfulness truly touched us, and they made the day so special with their kind congratulations. We also enjoyed amazing activities, including diving in the sea. The coral reef was like something out of a fairytale – absolutely stunning! We even saw turtles. On the boat, they served a delicious buffet, which made the trip even more enjoyable. From the breakfasts to every other detail, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We’re already dreaming of coming back! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a magical and heartfelt vacation experience.

There are probably insufficient words to describe how we felt about our stay. It was amazing in every way ! We booked last minute because the place were supposed to stay in that day was atrocious and we left immediately! By the luck 🍀 of things Atlantis had a room! We over looked the pool. Amazing room, fantastic bed , bathroom and shower . Gorgeous. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped with beautiful local plants and flowers . Paradise . Staff was exceptional . Fantastic communication . Gorgeous pool with a waterfall rock sculpture. Great food and deep menu. The views are outstanding.,it’s a serious dive resort ( we don’t dive ), but even a novice like me can tell they run a serious operation. Great local beers , outstanding wine options . Impeccable service and a feeling of being welcome like I have never experienced before . Probably the nicest stay of anywhere I have ever been !!!

The breakfast was great. The staff were fantastic. They are so happy and friendly and remember every bodies names. The dive equipment is in good condition and the dive staff are very good

The place is very much overpriced. The only reason we stayed there was because our son and his partner were going there as part of a diving group from the USA. There are comparable dive resorts with access to Apo Island at less than half the price

Fantastic dive resort with excellent staff. The service was top-notch from pickup throughout our stay. The in-house dive center offers up to 5 dives a day around the area with great dive masters. The location is clean, quiet, very well maintained and has a lush garden and nice swimming pool. The food is excellent, homemade and has different options. Breakfast is great.

The Atlantis is perfect for a diving holiday. The equipment is perfect and the staff professional and very attentive. The restaurant is pleasant and the food excellent. The daily maintenance of the rooms is perfect. The garden is beautiful.

The rooms are small and the equipment is quite limited for the price level requested in the Philippines. The price of the dives is excessive in particular the night dives and the trip to Apo Island.

breakfast was great all 4 days we were there. The servers were very welcoming. The servers paid close attention to details and really liked the fact that they always made it a point to call me by my first name (my preference).

no phone in the room to touch base with the reception. I got sick my last night there and need some hot water for tea and it was raining (monsoon like). But other than that...all good. Minor inconvenience.

rooms were not soundproof, you could hear everything. hard to fall asleep, when its so loud from footsteps on the floor from upstairs. its extremely loud!!
