My friend and I really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Mike's. They were very responsive when I messaged them through Booking.com before the trip. I appreciated how clean the resort was and the friendliness of the staff. We were in Dauin for diving, and it was extremely convenient to stay at Mike's and do our diving through the resort. We did 3 days of diving there - one of them off Apo. Our guides were Jury (a freelance guide) and Ace, and they were both great. Ace had a GoPro and was so kind as to share photos/video from our dives with us. There's a restaurant on site, but if you walk ~10 minutes, you can go dine along the main street in town. Definitely would recommend staying at this resort, especially if you'll be diving.

Beautiful resort. The staff is very nice and helpfull. The dive shop is very proffesional. The dive guides know very good the dive locations, and the do a lot of effort to show you the good things to see while diving, and they also try to show you what you are interested in. The dive sites in front of the resort are very good voor muck diving, and Apo island was also very good for diving. Food in the restaurant was very good.

That i must leave after a few days to go back home

Mike’s Resort was such a nice place. Clean, comfortable, incredible staff. Being a brand new visitor there the Philippines, I would have liked to see more Filipino foods options on the menu. And this isn’t a negative necessarily but something to be aware of, they try to keep an extremely quiet atmosphere here. My friend’s family was there, and they asked that the kids not make any noise. So maybe don’t bring kids. This is more of a retirement home vibe.

The food was very good with many choices. Filipino breakfast with fresh fruits such as papaya and mango plus fish rice and eggs was delicious. Staff and dive crew were polite, motivated and experienced. Diving was excellent. Lots of choice if your interest is muck diving. Lots of separate dive sites with many different species. Never saw so many mantis shrimp on one site as here. The room house we stayed was comfortable and spacious.

It would be great if instead of just filter coffee espressos and cappuccinos would be available. There are several efforts at reef conservation which need to be continued. Natural reef is not in great shape.

I couldn’t recommend staying at mikes enough. The whole atmosphere is super chilled out, everyone is so friendly and because it’s a small resort you get to know the staff and feels like a big family. Also met the owner Mike who was very hospitable and took time to chat to guests. The five sites around mikes were amazing also with great dive boats and 3 dives a day

Nothing couldn’t fault it

Lovely small dive resort on the beach. Very friendly and welcoming. Very professional dive team including boat team. Chester, the Resort Manager was very helpful, informed and nothing was too much trouble. Diving was exactly what we wanted, muck diving for beautiful small marine creatures with the option of day trips to Apo Island where the coral was some of the healthiest I’ve seen.

Chester and his team were simply amazing! He was very responsive and assisted a lot with our stay, they were extremely accommodating and always checked on everyone’s needs. The resort is very well organised, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was also great, the dishes were really good, they have an amazing chef. The breakfast was also nice and good portion. The dive shop is well equipped, the boat is spacious and comfortable, Ace is a really great and knowledgeable dive master. We enjoyed our dive trips a lot, it was one of our bests. I was celebrating my birthday in Mike’s and they were super kind and set up a beautiful spot for our dinner to make my day memorable, they also prepared an amazing cake which was very very kind. It was an amazing dinner and celebration.

atmospheric place. Cozy and beautiful. I think it will be great for couples. Or for divers. Perfectly clean room. Modern, quiet and really cooling air conditioning in the room.

I didn't like the food at all. One dish was greasy. The second was dry. The smoothie was tasteless too. Breakfast also leaves much to be desired

Nothing we enjoyed everything

The people make the place! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Manager Chester was not only helping me out during my stay but also with onward plans. Enjoyed diving with them as well. Apo Island trips are a must do. Altogether it is great value for money.

Room I was in the first night had a sewage smell. I think that was no news to them. They gave me another room straight away the next day. So it was solved nicely.
