The breakfast was great! The pool was the best pool on the beach! We really enjoyed the staff, everyone made us feel like family. We felt so welcome and taken care of. We travelled with an infant and had no issues.

I wish the staff had more education on the activities involved in each of the island tours. We booked an island tour through the hotel and didn't know there was kayaking and additional fees, we would have liked to know this in advance.

We stayed in a family villa with sea view. It was very well decorated with new, modern shower and bathroom facilities, excellent aircon and scrupulously clean. The pool was great, chlorinated, spotless and well maintained, as were the grounds. Best of all were the welcoming and helpful staff.

In the evening all the guests disappear into the hustle and bustle of El Nido (an easy tricycle-taxi ride), so the bar is quiet and the restaurant poor. The staff try to liven things up with karaoke, which is exactly what you DON’T want when watching the stunningly beautiful sunset.

The hotel has potential that is not exploited to its true value, because it needs to be renovated and improvements must be made. The hotel is located right on the beach, which was very good for walking and watching the incredible sunsets, not for swimming. The large and well-kept swimming pool was a huge plus, and we used it both on sunny and rainy days, whenever we had the chance. The room we chose, the Oceanview Premiere King Plus with direct access to the pool, was very nice, comfortable, and contrary to many negative reviews, the noise of the air conditioning did not bother us at all. The entire hotel staff, especially the lady at the reception, and the restaurant staff, were incredible, nice and always ready to assist us. Many thanks on this way. Personally, even if the menu is not very rich in options, for us the food was good and tasty. We had dinner few times at the hotel restaurant and were always satisfied. To be honest, the price of the rooms is slightly high compared to what the hotel offers (and here I am referring mostly to the aesthetic part). Overall, for me and my wife, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience.

The only impediment was the toilet flush that didn't work at all during our stay. As I said, the hotel needs investments and renovations.

The casita 1 and 2 had very comfortable beds. The bathrooms had a good shower with great pressure. The view at sunset is fantastic. The pool was very clean and the staff were very accommodating. The happy hour was good but wish there were more options.

I would prefer the casita's to have bedside tables to have lampshades. The breakfast didn't have a lot of fruit options and variety of westerners. The eggs were overcooked. The food was not delicious and appetizing. The basketballs and volleyball could of been replaced/pumped up. There was a sewerage smell in the bathroom that could come and go.

Certainly the hotel and location but the staff members definitely make so much of a difference. The perfect view of the beach just from the swimming pool and restaurant (and the room - if only I booked the seaview). If I am coming back to El Nido I will definitely stay here again! Very hospitable staff, they are on point following up for certain requests I made in order to help prepare for my sister’s proposal. Shout out to the late shift staff in reception and housekeeping: Ritchiel, Sheila, Marlita and the OJT’s Monique, Donna and Marlon. To the day receptionists Dianne and Lyan for taking the time and care when checking us in and for accommodating my other relatives who joined us the next day! Everyone was super attentive. One of the downfalls of being right by the beach is that there is sand everywhere! However, the whole public areas are always cleaned and who knows how many times I’ve walked past the lobby but everytime I walk by it’s always clean! (I always feel bad whenever I’m walking by 😅). I also love how they try to keep things eco. Other than that, thank you so much for accommodating us 🥰❤️

I liked that the location had an amazing sunset view.

Although the property was nice but there’s wasn’t a store to purchase anything that the guest might need and no in house laundry service.

It was right on the beach, in a "quiet" area just before el Nido. There are plenty of nice places to eat and have a drink without having to go to el Nido itself. Even though it's on a main road, you can walk down the beach instead, and you wouldn't know it's there. The staff were friendly and helpful

It's not the staff's fault, but the hot water is powered by solar panels. They write it in very small detail on booking.com, but you wouldn't find it if you weren't looking for it. They then inform you of it when you check in, which I find a bit cheeky. Obviously it's a hot country so hot showers aren't a huge necessity but it feels a bit wrong the way they inform you. Most of our stay the water was luke warm, which was fine, but it's still quite an annoyance when the hotel is charging £100 a night..

Location is gorgeous, beautiful private beach, nice pool, nice bar view. Just enough distance from town but not too far. Staff were super sweet and friendly, very responsive. Hotel was clean.

Internet was problematic, unreliable. Also beware that if you got a no-smoking room, you may be next to a smoking room and the smoke comes right in to your room and the hallway. The A/C is very loud and if you are in a room without view of beach, you will be next to road and cars are noisy too. Single twin room was quite small for 2 people.

Double gem was the perfect location, with a pool and the best view. It was only 100 pesos to El Nido town center, which was crazy busy at night and just a 5-minute ride. Laundry facilities were nearby too.

Breakfast in the buffet was always served cold, and it took a while to restock the food for the number of guests staying there. However, we understand that their kitchen is small and they can only do so much with the resources they have. Despite this, I would still book again.

The atmosphere of this resort is very relaxed, the pool and the bar is a plus. The staff is very helpful. Room is specious, we had a little problem to check in the room we reserved, but the staff is willing to change us to the better room and help us to solve the problem, ever since, we had a very pleasant stay. The beach is very clean and peaceful, unlike the main town, we feel relax at Corong Corong beach with DoubleGem.
