The location and resort area is fabulous and Nacpan beach is one if not the best beach you can see in El Nido. The breakfast is really nice since it offers you the option to order from a menu while also letting you suit yourself from the fruit/toast/egg unlimited buffet. The cocktails were really good, the food was only slightly above average unfortunately. What really stood out for us was the friendliness of the staff. Particularly, Mr Mark Galila is the friendliest and responsive waiter that we've ever encountered during our stay in the Philippines, so props to him. One thing to keep in mind, if you plan to experience El Nido or do island hopping tours I would advise against staying at Angkla, as the transfer between Angkla and El Nido Town is quite expensive and long. During our 2 week stay in El Nido we booked only 4 days at Angkla which was perfect for a retreat and relax, we didn't feel the need to get out of the resort during our stay.

Our stay at Angkla was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip in the Philippines! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an exceptional level of service that truly made us feel at home. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with local charm. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the comforts we could ask for even Netflix ;) We always started our day with a big breakfast and some relaxing by the cozy pool with views over the beach. Later on the day we moved down to the beach where we also had lunch, the food here is great! Great location just a few steps down to the water and then a few km of white beautiful beach with no people on it! We will come back to the Philippines just for this hotel!

My stay at Angkla Resort was an exceptional experience, making it one of the best hotels and beaches I have ever visited. The five nights I spent here were marked by a stay in a room that was not only modern and comfortable but also boasted a very unique and cozy design. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable. The staff at Angkla Resort were a highlight of my visit. Their friendliness and professionalism contributed significantly to the VIP feeling I enjoyed throughout my stay. Every interaction with them was pleasant and genuine, enhancing the overall experience. The quality of food at the resort, especially the lunch and dinner, was outstanding. Each meal was a delightful experience of delicious, high-quality cuisine. However, I did notice that the breakfast, while great, had limited options. The resort's beach is a beautiful and peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxation and unwinding. The amenities provided in the room added to the comfort and convenience of my stay. Additionally, the transportation service from and to the airport was a significant plus, making the travel hassle-free. The warm welcome I received during check-in set a positive tone for the entire stay. In summary, Angkla Resort is a fantastic destination in the Philippines, offering a blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty. It's a place where every detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience.

Really a beutiful and great hotel! Super nice rooms, incredibly sweet staff and very very nice food. The beach is truly one of the most beautiful I have been to. It really is a little slice of heaven (almost).

The only complaint I have, which unfortunately was really annoying, was that from approx. at 11 o'clock and until late at night there was SO loud music. I understand that there can be some lounge music, that's perfectly fine. But this was unfortunately far too high, so you couldn't relax or hear the waves at all. I really hope they will consider turning down the music a bit for future guests.

Absolute paradise and complete luxury. Me and my partner arrived at the El Nido van terminal and we waited a while before our private driver collected us for the 40+ minute journey. As soon as we arrived at the resort we were greeted warmly by the staff. They were absolute professionals, I couldn't believe how accomodating the staff were from start to finish. The room layout is beautiful, the bed is extremely comfy and the large Samsung smart TV was great. The restaurant had delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner services. The garlic buttered shrimp are to die for. Location is directly on Nacpan beach. A few other restaurants and beach bars nearby. A few minutes walk and there are some local sari-sari stores, clothes shops and pharmacies.

The shower pressure was a bit slow, that's all.

The location of the resort is right on the beach, and not just any beach! Nacpan beach is truly stunning. Long walks in either direction along the beach, followed by fantastic sunsets. The rooms of the hotel are superb and very modern. Internet is very good, given the hotel location. The restaurant offers lovely food and varied menu. Staff are great.

If being picky, maybe sunbeds on the beach that recline to a flat bed. Currently they fixed at a 45º angle, so not great of you want to lie flat.

The property itself is small, but very beautiful and serene. It's nestled in the jungle, but also beachfront, so it's very picturesque. Our room was perfect. The digital remote for the curtains didn't work a few times, but that's easily fixable. The breakfast was exceptional. There was a variety of foods available, especially the Filipino options. We came to the Philippines to try all the Filipino food, and I'm glad they had it here. They also had filipino themed cocktails which were amazing. I also loved all of the stray dogs on the beach. They may come up to your table but for the most part, they do not bother you and they also do not bark or jump. They were nice little companions to have around. The staff at the property were also exceptional. They were very friendly and attended to all of your needs. They felt like family. We would 100% stay here again when we come back to El Nido.

This is not really about the property, but mainly more about the beach club service. It was great, however, I'm thinking it's because it's not that popular in the Philippines to continuously come around and take drink/food orders from people at the beach or the pool, like in other beach resorts globally. If they did that, they would definitely make more profit from all the tourists just wanting to have cocktails while laying out. We had service, but it wasn't often. We also noticed other beachgoers looking for a server to take a drink order. Also, the long dirty road to get there is pretty rough. Not sure if there's a way they can just level out the dirt without having to pave it.

Can't use the beach in front of the hotel without getting run down by noisy ATV / quad bikes.... very disappointing. Sitting by the pool could be relaxing if it weren't for the ATV's racing up and down the beach ALL day!

It’s a luxurious property on a beautiful large beach. Prices are high, when compared to what Philippines people are making. Unfortunately, high enough for a middle class American family. It made it difficult to leave tips, despite the friendliness of the staff, as we didn’t budget accordingly.

The road to get there is quite an adventure, with puddles, and local villages that allows you to understand how people really live. Once you arrive at the property, it’s like you enter a different world. We loved the rooms, the restaurant, the view, the quiet location, the service, the views ( a piece of paradise).

The room was stunning and impeccably clean, and the staff were exceptional—we loved the warm welcome from the team. The food was amazing, though on the pricier side. Breakfast options included a menu or a small buffet, and the smoothie bowls were delicious. The pool was lovely, the DJ set the perfect vibe, and the atmosphere was fantastic. There aren’t any shops or nightlife nearby, but that wasn’t what we were looking for. We stayed for three nights, and it was incredibly relaxing—you’ve created something truly special. The last kilometer of the journey is quite bumpy, but in a 4WD, it was manageable. Highly recommend for a few days of pure relaxation—just sip on cocktails and soak up the vibes!
