The room was large and comfortable, very clean and with everything we needed. Staff very helpful and accommodating, polite and friendly. Location - wow! We love peace and quiet and that is what we got. A short walk across the first village beach to Nacpan beach - 2.5 miles of sand and sea - a few great beach bars and restaurants- try Nacpan Beach Grill - and bliss. Peace. A few tourists but mostly an empty beach. Lovely local village for convenience stores and a pharmacy but 45 minutes from the hustle and bustle of El Nido. Don’t come here for nightlife- we came for peace and quiet and a beautiful beach - didn’t need shoes for a week. Hotel is still establishing but nothing disturbed us. We would definitely return.

There was nothing not to like.

Big king-size beds. Large and clean rooms. Well located, quite close to Nacpan Beach (although an extra paid shuttle service to Nacpan would be appreciated as an option). Along the way, there are some small shops nearby for groceries (drinks, snacks, etc.). The hotel is building a lovely castle-style design that’s very well decorated. When the construction/renovation work is finished, it will look like paradise. MG Chateau offers direct access to the private Calitan Beach (pretty empty but nice for a quiet walk). Nacpan Beach is within walking distance from Calitan. Nacpan is one of the best beaches we’ve visited in Asia. The hotel provides decent internet connection (via satellite), which is very rare in this area where even cell phone signals don’t work (there’s no nearby cell tower). We really appreciated the satellite internet because our remote online job requires us to be connected 24/7. In the room, there is a well-stocked minibar. The cleaning service is efficient. The staff is helpful and friendly. They arranged a comfortable airport transfer for us by tricycle at the standard rate.

Improvement suggestions based on our stay: – The mattress fitted sheet doesn’t fit perfectly the large king-size mattress very well, so it slips off every night, even if you’re not moving around much. Ordering new fitted sheet that fit well would greatly improve sleep comfort. – A toilet pump should be available in each room, as in the countryside, toilets can get blocked easily. – We experienced a pretty long power outage in the middle of the night, and we’re not entirely sure if the hotel has backup electric generators that turn on automatically (it didn’t bother us this time, but we were concerned about future outages). Addressing these 3 points would be appreciated for our next stay at MG Chateau, as we would gladly book there again if we have that chance.

the buildings, when they are completed, will be astounding, but for now, only a few are complete. During our stay, the main restaurant area was still under construction. We never heard any construction work, as most of the.worknis being done by the owner and a few labourers.

Fitted sheets!! As per someone else's feedback, the beds have fitted sheets that are a bit too small, and end up slipping off during the night, leaving you sleeping on a bare mattress, which is not good at all. We complained to reception about this, and they replaced them with good, standard sheets (for the next 3 nights and then one of the beds went back to the fitted sheets!)

Our stay at this resort was absolutely delightful! The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with a private bathroom for added privacy and comfort. The air conditioning kept us cool and comfortable throughout our stay, and the WiFi worked flawlessly, allowing us to stay connected without any issues. We were also incredibly impressed by the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. The concierge was especially helpful, providing us with excellent recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Everything about our experience was perfect, making it a truly memorable trip. We can't wait to return! ❤️🥰

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, and there's a bar outside and a mini-bar in the room. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary water in the room's fridge, with free refills. Free coffee and tea were also provided, with refills available upon request from housekeeping. Housekeeping automatically replenishes everything if you request their service; otherwise, you can request refills at the front desk. (Alcoholic beverages are not included, of course).

I arrived sick at the facility so I didn’t really enjoy the surroundings. I was able to enjoy the beautiful “private “ beach on my first day but next day I couldn’t leave my bed and I was full of bites. The sandflies & others bugs didn’t spare me! The property was nice, it felt like arriving at Disneyland! The rooms were colorful, the buildings were castles and it was surrounded by plants and flowers! The rooms were clean & quite, friendly staffs but not always easy to understand each other! It’s quite far from everything, but there are beach restaurants at walking distance.

If you order food from the kitchen, it takes ages to get it! It was difficult to communicate with the staffs

internet was a little in and out on occasion - they are working to improve same. food choices are good but limited to filipina dishes…no biggie as there is so much food nearby

LOVED our room, can’t emphasize enough how unique and awesome our room was (Hibiscus room 1). I almost regretted scuba diving during the day because I could’ve happily sat in the room all morning each day watching the birds out the giant picture windows into the mangrove forest behind us. Like, 20 foot ceilings and huge picture windows on both sides of room. Bizarre but amazing.

No food available onsite, or coffee etc, due to ongoing renovations. Would be great to offer at least coffee in reception area in the morning.

The rooms were huge and beds were very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The nearby restaurant Beach Banquet Bar's Restaurant was very good for dinner, lunch or breakfast.

The location is a bit far from El Nido islands area in case you want to visit the small or big lagoon, go snorkeling, etc., but the hotel can arrange this for you, but the sailing trip takes a bit longer compared to staying nearer to El Nido.
