Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort is haven for people who loves tranquility, relaxation and fun. I had good respite for two nights of this resort. The staffs are welcoming and took of my check-in with an ease. The room is huge which fits in two queen size beds. The interiors is simple with touch of Filipino wood elements. Beds are so comfy that makes me doze off in an instant. The comfort room had a bath tub, lavatory, toilet with bidet and complete toiletries. The beach front is nice and swimmable. I got a chance to snorkle during hightide and saw some resident fishes there. I got a chance to used the pool near my room and the main one close to the restaurant. They have a gym facility with decent equipments and amuma spa which this resort is known for. Breakfast buffet at Allegro is my favorite of my stay of this resort. A good selection of local and decent international choices. A taho treat is a nice welcome. Overall, I'm happy of my staycation here.

The resort was good, and the staff was well trained. There was some renovation happening, but it was clearly communicated prior to the arrival. It was reasonable value for money.

The breakfast buffet was ok, but could do with a bit more variety. The beach area is nice and clean but the water is not good for swimming. The hotel doesn't let you access the clear water without the use of a paid service provider, which I saw as a money making scheme.

- We loved the private beach and the beach bar. - Staff are great; nothing is a problem there. Everyone is approachable and accommodating. -Special mention to Lando. Attentive, courteous and a true gentleman. - Grounds and the pools are appealing. - Very relaxing. Its not stuffy or heavy. - Rooms are large and tastefully decorated. - We’re hooked on their lemongrass juice. - Restaurant is competent. Most things are available and what we actually ordered was good.

The press of day users. They crowd the pools, the beach, and its impossible to find peace anywhere. Day users are noisy and inconsiderant. Building maintenance and upkeep. Big sections of roof missing the nipa or kugun covering. Visibly unappealing when noticed.

Resort itself was lovely! Many pools and restaurants. Staff always friendly Pools are well maintained and always a lifeguard on duty. Great for both adults and children Beautiful facility Breakfast options were a dream! So many varieties and especially the bread section, was amazing!!

The shower bathtub leaks all over the bathroom floor! Walked into a flooded bathroom floor after each shower, which was annoying. Called the front desk to try sort the problem out, zero help. Think it is a design issue with the bathtub 🤔 Restaurant and spa prices are significantly elevated, but service was otherwise good, so can't complain too much about that

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The place was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were always helpful and welcoming.

There was ongoing renovation work during our visit and although our room was located away from the construction area but the noise was still quite loud, especially on the way to the restaurant. Unfortunately this affected the overall atmosphere and made me feel a bit disconnected from the beauty and relaxation I was hoping for on this trip. And also the hotel was a bit far from the city center, which made getting around slightly inconvenient.

It was very beautiful has a beach front of course, the rooms felt like we were staying on a private island I loved the breakfast too. We were next to the pool (free) which provided hours of fun they also offered u activities on the beach to do (paid). They also had a bbq night but it was expensive so we didn’t attend but we saw it and it was beautiful.

The staff were nice but not too enthusiastic seemed like they just wanted to move us along. Also the rooms have no noise cancellation you can hear everything outside and from other rooms so if your looking for privacy this doesn’t provide. The only thing separating you from the outside is a thin wooden sliding door with mosquito net oh and a curtain for privacy.

After planning this for weeks, we were met unexpectedly with an inconvenience in terms of their facility usage and there were changes in terms of the facilities and resort accommodation, but that is not why we stopped but simply because we wanted to have a simple staycation for at least a day and this room specifically met our expectations but it would have been nicer if we had options to have 1 big bed than 2 twin beds. Overall, our stay on this vacation is splendid; the beach was crowded, but it was sufficient for the scenery and ambiance. The only thing uncontrollable was the weather on this day, specifically, but the staff gladly helped us with our baggage and accommodated us well with the check-in. The breakfast was good, and we had a lot to eat. We also ordered a dessert in-room dining, and the service was accommodating. Overall, our stay in this resort brought us reminiscent memories as we were here way before with our families, and now we, as a couple, tried out this resort for ourselves and we had a lovely night. Bonus as well for the staff who were supporting us despite our gender preferences and were nice and polite to help us take pictures with our camera.

We were met sadly with tardiness in housekeeping, especially with the dishing out of our in-room service dishes, and we were provided late with our towels that were requested at night, but were given out already when we were about to check out, or after breakfast.

We stayed at Bluewater Maribago as a family with two little boys (2 years and 2 months, and 5 months old), right after a long journey from Germany—and it was exactly what we needed. We originally booked 3 nights but extended to 4 because it was just the perfect place to adjust to the climate and recover. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly family-friendly. The pools were a big hit with the kids, and while we didn’t swim much at the beach, our toddler spent hours happily playing in the sand. That kind of distraction made everything easier for us as parents. The food was outstanding—we had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily at Allegro Restaurant and loved the variety and quality. But what really made this stay special was the staff. The resort’s core value, Amuma (a Bisaya word meaning to pamper or care), isn’t just a slogan—it’s something you feel in every interaction. Big thanks to Joyce and the welcoming team at the Allegro entrance, Jeff and Richell from the juice bar who took great care of us in the afternoons, and especially Carlos at the kinilaw buffet, who we saw more than once step through a potted plant (literally) to help guests at the nearby self-service station. That kind of extra effort and warmth was everywhere. If you’re arriving in Cebu with kids—or just need a peaceful, genuine place to land—this is it. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and truly cared for.

Everything is ok....until the last day of our stay...where it was stressful with the next door being so noisy..and woke us up at as early as 2:15 am...they were so loud, inconsiderate to others. And the front desk did not action accordingly, until I told them, if they are not going to do something about it( next door)...I WILL GO AND DO IT MYSELF!!

The room is perfect, except it was an joint room with the next door ...and the our headboard was really touching the wall, so the next door slammed the door our headboard VIBRATE and shakes the room.

An absolutely beautiful place in a chaotic city that is close to the airport. The staff are wonderful and facilities and food are of a high standard. The room was very clean and the bed is comfortable. The AC is nice and cold. The shuttle from the resort to the airport was seamless. It was a nice way to end our stay in the Philippines.

Unfortunately the main pool and eating area was being demolished and it was noisy. It was a shame as we normally would not pay a huge amount for accommodation and if we had known about this prior to booking we would have stayed elsewhere.
