This is a small adorable property a block or so from the entrance point to the sardine run. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. There's a charming outdoor dining area close by the pool, which is beautifully landscaped. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Meals and cocktails at the restaurant were tasty, but if you need some variety, there is another restaurant about a block away. For the sardines, walk down to the main road and turn right. Across the street from the Strandhaus, there are some snorkel guides (Amazing Snorkel) who will swim with you to see the sardines for a reasonable price. The guides are worth it-- they dive down to direct the sardines towards you and will help you get great photos.

Very nice, private, quiet, boutique property. The hotel common and pool areas were clean and functional. We were doing a lot of activities during the day, so it was nice that they had a good restaurant on the property.

The staff was warm and welcoming, but since they also were working the front desk and the restaurant, I found it hard to get their attention at times. There were weird insects that resembled small rolly pollys that kept on crawling into our room at night. They did not bite, but I did end up stepping on them when running into bathroom at night.

This is by far the best accommodation we saw along the Moalboal beach. The rooms are spacious, the pool is very clean and spotless. The whole resort is quite secluded, so there's no traffic outside the resort that would create any noise. The whole resort is really comforting and nice. There is a patio outside every room which is equally spacious to dry your wet clothes as well. Did the airport transfer planned by the hotel which was really convenient as they can accommodate to your requests for lunch stops / tea if you need.

Honestly nothing much, if you want a comfortable stay, this is the place to be.

This resort just has everything right. The pool at the centre is perfect with beautiful lighting at night. The calm and peaceful atmosphere is as the name suggests almost paradise like. Rooms cleaner than any we have seen with a modern stylish twist, with very good air con. 2 min walk to the beach and lots of restaurants with plenty of turtles and sardine runs to see (without needing tour guides) But most pronounced of all the staff are just lovely, so friendly, super polite and willing to help, honestly a real step above other hotels we have stayed at. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

The spacious rooms are well-appointed and provide stunning views of the beautiful pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. Thoughtfully designed landscaping ensures privacy for each room, while vibrant flowers contrast beautifully with the white walls of the buildings, enhancing the tropical ambiance. The rooms are a comfortable size, impeccably clean, and well-equipped, featuring efficient air conditioning and water heaters. The staff members are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests. While the on-site restaurant offered convenient dining options, the service was somewhat slow and missed a few items at times. We particularly enjoyed the fresh mango and watermelon! The resort also provides easy access to snorkeling and diving tours, making it simple to experience the vibrant marine life. Overall, my experience was wonderful, and I would definitely consider returning, especially during the clear water season for diving!

We had an amazing stay at Secret Paradise! The location is unbeatable, peaceful, scenic, and just a short distance from the spectacular sardine run, which was a real highlight of our trip. It’s also conveniently close to loads of excellent food stops, including El Mercado, which offered plenty of choice and great atmosphere. The hotel itself was spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. Everything from the room to the common areas was clean and comfortable. Secret Paradise truly surpassed our expectations—we’d happily return and highly recommend it to others looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

As it says in the name, a secret paradise. It’s located outside of the main road but only a 5/10 minute walk away. It’s truly a hidden oasis, with the pool surrounded by trees, plenty of shelter and the aesthetic is gorgeous. The rooms were spacious and the shower was big, with hot water always available. The minibar had a good selection of drinks and snacks, and the a/c was perfect. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We ate at their restaurant most nights and the food was lovely, with good cocktails (and reasonably priced too). The pool was lovely, not too hot or cold, and they also had a pool table and darts board, so a great place to stay and relax.

The pillows in the room weren’t the most comfortable.

Amazing hotel, great location and friendly staff. We loved our stay in Moalboal! The rooms are big and clean, the pool is super nice to relax at. The location is towards the end of the little street with lots of stores and restaurants around - we actually found this the best place to stay in Moalboal. The showers were hot (some past comments complained about that.. ) and rooms were cleaned upon request. No breakfast included,we ate once at the hotel and the rest of the time in town. Overall we would recommend it 100%!

Nothing to complain, we loved our stay!

Absolutely perfect location, it is a very short walk to the most incredible snorkelling we did it ourselves with no guide and saw soo many different species of fish and turtles, pool was quiet, close to all the restaurants.

The pillows were very hard so it was difficult to sleep on, the place only takes cash and although they tell you its a short walk to the atm which it is, a lot of the atms run out of cash on the island so come prepared with lots of cash beforehand.

It’s only a short 2 mins walk to turtle and sardines spot. It was peaceful and quiet here. Hotel food was delicious and there are restaurants just a stone’s throw away too. The family room was clean, really spacious with super comfy double beds. Helpful and super friendly hotel staff were always there to assist us. Everything exceeded our expectations. One of the best places we stayed.

There was nothing that we didn’t like here, will absolutely recommend Secret Paradise Moalboal to our family and friends 100%.
