It was clean and very welcoming right of the bat. I love that you need to remove shoes at the entrance... that way, rain or shine, it doesn't track all the way into the room. Staff was helpful and shower (on first floor) worked great! Also right outside the location was access to the bars and beach, as well as a motorbike rental spot! ATM is right outside as well!

I think getting to the place is a bit difficult. If you have luggage you have to use a tricycle, and the road is kind of shotty. To get to the main road theres a bit of a walk. Also in the morning it gets a bit noisy in the hallways so don't plan to sleep in cause the walls are a bit thin!

Excellent location steps away from the beach. Close walk to Panagsama eating places but far enough away to be quiet. Safe parking available without additional charge. Dive shop right outside the door with nice and friendly guides who took us freediving / snorkeling and were great with a GoPro. Comfortable room with quiet AC, TV, Wifi, mini fridge, safety deposit box, water kettle, desk lamp, perfectly working hot and cold shower, body wash and shampoo + conditioner provided. You can change your towel once daily for free. Additional pillow available for P50. Hot / cold water dispenser available in the hallway. Helpful and accommodating staff. Common areas very clean. Shoes off at entrance which is a bit inconvenient, but makes sense to keep the floors clean. Clean house slippers provided for wearing inside the hotel. Overall highly recommend especially for the reasonable price. I would definitely go back and stay again.

No sound proofing so you can hear everything from the hallway into the room. Not a problem except for when other guests can’t keep their voices down 😅

This hotel is amazing!! I love the design; the white and blue motifs are classy. The rooms are well maintained, so I felt welcomed settling in. The location is very convenient as well. The hotel is right next to a popular snorkelling spot. The food had also stood out to me not only as one of the best I've eaten on our month long trip to Philippines but also internationally in general- Notably, the pasta and pizza menu! My family and I were incredibly grateful for this experience with D'Gecko Hotel. I would recommend this hotel to any friends lucky enough to visit Cebu.

Cute wee stay in Moalboal. Short walk to main area along the beach. Clean & tidy, with access to cold filtered water cooler. Staff have separate flip flops for guests to swap into at the front door to keep the floors clean. Room was spacious, and comfortable, with good air con in the room. Was quiet at night.

Only mild things to note: the shower pressure was not super strong, and no kettle to make up a coffee/tea that was in the room - check with Reception if you want one. Lots of big potholes on the road leading to the entrance - hard for cars and bikes to navigate through. Stairs only here for those who have trouble walking up stairs.

Clean, tidy, and stylish interior. I liked the slipper policy, which requires guests to change into slippers upon entering the hotel. It is a quiet and peaceful place, but everything is nearby, including good restaurants with excellent food, scooter rentals, laundry services, excursions, massages, and more. It's only a 2-minute walk to the hustle and bustle, but the hotel is quiet and safe.

The only thing is the smell when you enter the room. I couldn't tell if it was the perfume, which is very intense, or the smell of moisture or something else, but when you enter the room, it is very pungent. Later, you get used to it and don't notice it anymore.

D Gecko is in a great location is interested in snorkelling or diving. We had a week diving at a nearby centre, so it was a easy for us to get to and from the dive centre by foot. Driving I a bit trickier as the streets are small and you cannot connect easily to the main road. The room was clean and serviced well daily. It was great value for money. The one thing we didn't enjoy was that the window didn't open and there was no fan. The air con was super strong and cold, but we missed fresh air. We had to pay for an extra pillow in the room as well. Great value for money and would stay again, but maybe in a room with an opening window! Staff were so lovely and helpful.

No opening window in the room. Linen is getting a bit tired, but for price we paid this would be expected.

Everything was great, the beds were super comfortable, good wifi & nice vibe! The location was also perfect! The staff were extremely helpful & friendly! Would stay here again!

That when asking for prices for excursions & taxis etc, different staff gave you different prices! That’s the only negative comment I can say about our stay!

The location was perfect. We were a few minutes away from the sardine run which we snorkeled several times on our own. Close to all of the restaurants as well. The hotel also offers cheap motorbike rentals which was perfect for us to go explore the nearby waterfall on our own. Staff are super nice.

There were sometimes people in the hallways listening to music or their tv shows really loud. We don't understand why they couldn't be in their rooms or use headphones, not convinced they were guests. It was resolved eventually but I had to ask staff to help.

The location is great, right in the middle of bars, restaurants and the beach where you can swim with turtles and sardines right off the shore! You are also around many tour vendors so you can easily book tours or grab motorcycles to go out for the day. The hotel itself is clean and quiet with good aircon. It is a great price for a private room and we enjoyed out time. There is also Netflix on the TV although the internet was not always stable for watching. There were also water dispensers on both floors right by our room which was really nice.

The Wifi wasn't always stable and was often disrupted on the second floor so when watching the Netflix it often paused for extended periods or didn't work at all. The shower head in our bathroom didn't fit the fixture properly so often times water would fly out over the curtain and onto the bathroom floor. The bed was also not very comfortable (very hard) but the sheets and room was very clean so I suppose it just depends on what type of bed you enjoy.

The room is stunning, clean and it has everything we need. It was also close to the beach. It’s walking distance to restaurants by the beach. The beds were very comfortable and my kids love the place.

We had so much luggages so we drove with SUV up to the front door of the hotel. The road going there was so bumpy and the ride was rough. The streets very narrow. Once we get there, we just parked our car in the back, no need to use car within our stay, everything was walking distance. Easier to move around walking than with car.
