My 1st time in an over the water bungalow. It did not have water under it half of the time as when the tide was out, there was no water. It was cool to do once.

The resort itself is under major construction. Only 2 restaurants were open. The staff not very friendly and beware they are cunning. I sent a couple of messages prior to booking in regarding an earlier checkin if possible. There was no response. Thought they may not be open. When I arrived, I enquired about my messages. I was brushed off. I was asked to leave a standard deposit for incidentals when booking in. When booking out you cannot use you deposit, they want you to pay separately. When I refused the lady charged me another deposit to cover incidentals. I felt like she tricked me.

This is definitely where you want to park your suitcase for a while! We sure felt blessed that we got to experience this resort. Plus, it was a great choice to spend our last days in the Philippines. People who really made a difference for us here were at breakfast: Mabelle, Beth, Johnlee, Dino, and so many others. The staff are just so amazing here. Princess Garden Island Resort & Spa is the 29th hotel we've stayed in so far during our 7-month trek through Southeast Asia, and it is by far THE BEST one yet.  The rooms were super clean and spacious with a nice-sized balcony overlooking the beautiful pool. The beds were super comfortable, so we got GREAT sleep. The pools are such nice sizes so there is a lot of room to swim. The international breakfast, which was included with our stay, was an amazing, delicious, and savory-culinary experience! We would express to each other each night before going to sleep how excited we were for breakfast in the morning. 🤗 There was such a variety of food to choose from. Also, the restaurant, Tomato & Basil, provided a lovely menu, so we really did not need to leave this resort at all.  The staff here were outstanding, professional, and kind, and each one we met had such a wonderful sense of humor. They truly want your stay to be a great one with lasting memories. This resort also provides a free airport shuttle and who doesn't like the word ‘free’! Some experiences you just can not say enough good things about, and this place is one of those.

We honestly can not think of anything that we did not like.

We had a wonderful time at the resort. There was so much space and so many places to sit and unwind. Food was fantastic along with the staff. Everything was very clean and worked properly. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there and plan to visit again soon. The overall experience was just fantastic. Two things that I believe should be urgent to address. First, having security or remember the staff call or flag down petty cabs or taxi cabs. We had an instant where we had to leave the resort and no assistance was offered by the desk or the staff to secure a taxi. Instead, they offered their shuttle for 600 pesos one way. That is a 1200 peso round-trip, which is about $25 American. That, is not ok and in my mind completely unacceptable. Second, for this large of a resort, the fact that there is no ATM available on the property causes problems. It limits the ability to retrieve cash so we can tip waitstaff or facility workers, etc. I would strongly urge that you find a location and partner with a bank willing to provide you an ATM at the property. This is an absolute must, and we were incredibly shocked to hear that one was not on the property.

Staff, location, facilities, breakfast, security, cleanliness. We stayed in the Harbour wing with a pool access - good value for money. Then we moved to the Water Villa towards the end of our stay - what an exceptional room to stay in. This place is amazing. We WILL be back. Loved how hotel came with free shuttle for my whole family and easy to coordinate. The rooms were beautiful and view of ocean and greenery was gorgeous. Room was modern and spacious with great water pressure and temperature which was an issue at previous hotel. Pool was clean and goes throughout center of hotel which is convenient for all the buildings. Staff were friendly and helped to bring luggage to our rooms since it was far walk. There is a small beach area and activities you can book through hotel such as kayaking which is convenient. Breakfast buffet has plenty of options that were well seasoned. They were able to squeeze me in for in room massage which was an amazing massage for great price. The hotel was thoughtful to have bug repellent everywhere in room. The greenery was pretty around hotel. Tomato Basil was best restaurant in hotel area with amazing pasta dishes and dessert. Bar had some good drink choices my favorite was the Bees Knees which had Palawan honey that was local.

Long wait for food at restaurant. Lasagna took over an hour to make and half our table watched as we ate because they're food took too long to come out since each lasagna took 8 minutes to come out and we ordered 5 of them. They didn't warn us about long wait time since they have to cook one at a time in addition to other food we ordered. When we asked for check it took another 20 minutes for that one to come out. The wait time for everything took so long that we didn't even enjoy food anymore. Location is a bit from everything so you'll need to order taxi through hotel since no grab on island so if you want to leave hotel costs can add up.

We had a wonderful stay at Princesa Garden Resort in Puerto Princesa, Palawan! The resort's beautiful surroundings and lush gardens created a serene atmosphere that made our getaway truly special. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt right at home. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely views that added to the experience. We also enjoyed the delicious meals and the refreshing pool. Overall, it was a fantastic retreat, and we can't wait to return! Highly recommended!

This resort is nice. The pools are great, the staff are lovely. The wifi in our room was terrible but they moved us to a new room and the wifi was good there. Breakfast is good lots of options.

The first bed was good, second one creaked every time we moved. We once ordered room service and they didn’t put the order through we called 3 times and waited 2 hours. There were renovations happening at the resort so loud banging all day.

We loved inside the water villa, the breakfast buffet was great! The hotel is beautiful but I think still under renovation, as there was some construction going on. The water villas would look nicer obviously if the water came up higher but was low tide when we stayed which is out of their control, but just doesn’t obviously look as nice walking through to the room as u can see the muddy area and bottom of water villa… but inside amazed us, we loved our room with jacuzzi outside. The hotel does probably need some reno, just to refresh some areas. But overall we did love our stay!!

Some areas just need some renovation I think. Refreshing maybe.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - pool was warm. Sushi restaurant was excellent both in service and food. Staff was friendly and polite.

On site restaurant Tomato and Basil - service was extremely slow. Staff was unhelpful if you needed a taxi to go to town but if you walk out to the road there are usually a few tuk tuks out there for hire.

Pool was great. Staff was excellent. Food and drinks were good. Excursions were fun. Breakfast was ok. Resort grounds are beautiful even with the construction . Place is kid friendly and safe.

Lots of items on the menu ran out and weren’t replaced during our time there. Live entertainment at night is hidden in an area where no knows it’s going on or can’t enjoy it. No ATM at hotel and stores not walking distance. Only one restaurant to choose from but food was pretty good. The resort still needs to work out some kinks but is going to be beautiful and people will like it once it’s all complete.
