The location was right on the water and was away from others resorts/accomodations amongst the homes of locals. There was a small convenience stand nearby for snacks and other items and a really yummy hostel cafe just up the road. There are few rooms (bungalow type) at this property so it felt very private. The room we reserved had plenty of space for the 3 of us and the beds were situated to allow privacy for all. There was a 5 gallon water bottle directly outside or door which was convenient for filling up and staying hydrated. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast each day was good. The two folks staying with me arrived early at 6am the day of check in due to their travel plans and they allowed them to check in early and get some rest after traveling all night. Very kind.

I got zapped by electricity by touching the side of the water dispenser outside our room. Should have a warning. There was a crack in the floor of the tub which resulted in water spilling out on the bathroom floor any time we took a shower. Hot water didn't last long enough for 1 shower let alone 3 people in a row. Due to the rural area you've got to be ok with roosters crowing nightly and be comfortable walking down a long path that is not at all lit at night to get from the convenience store or cafe to the resort. No beach at the property although there was a ladder to get down into the water and swim.

Big room infront of the pool. The room is spotless and they have hot and cold drinking water free for each room. The room is spacious and has two tables - one for.food at the balcony, one working station near two power outlets. The beds were also very comfy and separate from each other so that we get some privacy from the kids. Sunset can be seen beautifully in this resort. The restaurant food is world class in taste and variety.

The restaurant - they told me everything is single serve. When the food came, it's shareable for at least 2 people and we're big eaters. So the food just went to waste since there's no fridge in the room. Power interruption in the island is often but short. They have generator though. The power shift is a pain when you're working. The place is not easily accessible when you want to go get a massage at night. It's so remote, there are no motorcycles or tricycle at night.

Though there weren't any free breakfast, their menu is great in general. Their food and drinks are good. Though it would be best if they keep honey-cured bacon in stock, instead of the one they have currently, which was bland. But overall, everything was great.

Everything exceeded my expectation! Though there was an unpleasant experience that happened during the last day, the guest staying above us were rowdy and were apparently fighting (Not the resort's fault). Also, there is no reception for Globe in the resort, It might be best to upgrade the Wifi (No complains here though since we wanted to use less of the internet.

The staff were exceptional - they made our stay so comfortable! They helped us organise transfers, rent mopeds and they were so accommodating at breakfast! The room was spacious, the air conditioning was good and the place was very clean.

There was construction work next door which started at 6am the Monday morning we stayed there. You also need a moped to get around from this location but it is handy to have anyways as the island is quite spaced out.

Gorgeous bamboo / wood designed home that looked over a beautiful view. The staff went above and beyond, specifically Azaleas mum who sat with me and helped make my tea & anna who helped throughout the stay. Bonus: immediate scooter rental & gorgeous view off sunset. We felt super at home and didn’t want to leave. Thanks again!

Staff were nice, very accomodating though rooms were not so clean and kind of old but overall can still recommend the friends and family because of the staff.

Rooms were not properly in order like doors can not locked. Water dispenser looks dirty.

Staff are very accomodating. Room rates are reasonable. Place is secured and safe as there is a security guard roaming the property every night.

Early morning (6am) music boombox from the locals next door. Water pressure on the 2nd floor was quite low. Could as well put up a barbecue facility near the pantry/common kitchen.

Everything was perfect. Our stay with my family was exceptional. From picking us up from the Port to drop-off. They have everything, the foooood😍, the pool, the entertainment area at the back where you can also dine with perfect scenic view of the sea. All I can say, Descanso En Paraiso is definitely a worth visit for. The room..❤️ Oh my God. If I were to decide I can stay inside the resort/hotel the entire time. It is also very near to Paliton Beach-the little Boracay. Just maximun 5 mins of drive. We rented their motorcycles for us to be able to roam around nearby places.

It's a very high class high value establishment with very friendly staff. Paliton beach is short drive away . The food is well prepared. Finest bed and room you can find. We wish we had reserved a longer stay.

The pool is rented out on weekends so not much room to use it.
