This place had the best food that I had in the Philippines. The Pizza was by FAR the best in country that I have had and the pasta was excellent also. My finacee complained that there was no rice on the menu, but stopped complaining once she had the gnocchi with gorgazola sauce and panchetta. The restaurant was fantastic and was busy every night. Highest rated restaurant on the island and I understand why. They also make their own gelato which was yummy also. The rooms did not have a tv, at least ours didn't, but that doesn't really bother me much since I was not there to watch tv. The pool was great too. Good temperature and clean. They also had there own generator at the resort which was nice since there were a couple of brown outs during our stay, but we only had no electricity for a few minutes until the generator came on. Lots of little restaurants and coffee shops up and down the road.

Things are a little more pricey on Siquijor as you are on a small island and just about everything comes over on the ferries and boats from Dumaguete and probably Bohol. The trikes are pricey too, but you can always rent a motorbike if you are comfortable riding in the Philippines, which can be a little dicey.

During a short getaway to Siquijor with my daughter, we stayed at Dolce Amore — a charming, simple hotel featuring a swimming pool and an Italian restaurant. The manager, Rose, was warm, accommodating, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We requested a last-minute tuktuk for an island tour, and they were quick to arrange it. Noel, our driver, took us around the island and made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The on-site restaurant exceeded our expectations in both food and service. We were impressed by how quickly our meals were served, and the quality was outstanding. Having been to Italy and tried many different pizzas, I can confidently say Dolce Amore’s pizza was authentic and delicious. We loved the food so much that we chose to dine there every night of our stay.

The only downside I would add to this place is location. It is further out from the main attractions in Siguijor.

Exceptional stay. The restaurant may be busy but you’ll never miss a good meal if you stay there. Staff are extremely accomodating and will set dinner outside your room or I’m sure by the pool if you asked. Excellent food, sure you might pay more than normal but they import all food from Italy, what did you expect? Wifi to each room and at the restaurant left no space for disconnect if you’re worried about that. Sure the road is right there and might be loud some days but you could be in San Juan itself, not worth avoiding for what this place has to offer. Brown ours last about 5 seconds as they have an automatic generator. If I haven’t convinced you, the option for gelato every night will. Thank you to the staff for our lovely stay, we’ll be back.

There is quite literally nothing to complain about - those previously who have complained would complain at any slight inconvenience given the chance.

The Staff are extremely friendly and remember everything about the guests , always smiling and willing to help you; they make sure your room is getting cleaned everyday and you can see that all of them are doing their best to deliver an exceptional experience to the guests. the pool was always clean and in a great temperature , the bed was comfortable , you get 2 bottle of water everyday and AC was powerful and good.

The shower pressure is too low and for such a beautiful place i'd suggest stronger water pressure ( the outdoor shower is actually stronger ) and would be nice to have central heating as there are 8 units ; the isolation could be improved and a parking for resort guests will be also a good idea - altho one of the staff always move and sort out the bikes once the restaurant is closed.

We really loved staying at Dolce Amore. The people are really really friendly and the whole Facility is extremely clean and well-organised. Upon arriving, you can use the pool and sun beds, the rooms are super nice (only 8) and the staff will take care of all you need - clean everyday; you can get a really nice breakfast, get snorkelling gear and a scooter, they have plenty of tips! Also other guests were really friendly :) For the evening, you always have the option to eat at their Italien restaurant, which is really tasty and great.. therefore can absolutely recommend and we would always come back!

Nothing to mention :)

Wonderfully appointed accommodation. Nice room, well built facilities, great pool, exceptional water pressure and unrelenting hot water in the shower (which is no easy feat for Siquijor!), the power even went out and the back up generator instantly kicked in. Really impressed with the comfort of our stay here. Doesn’t hurt that they have the best pizza I’ve ever had in Asia. The owners have truly built something special here!

The restaurant is busy- but for good reason! Just make a reservation. The staff seem to prioritize serving hotel guests. Also the service was incredibly quick.

Beautiful stay in Dolce Amore Resort. The resort itself was very nice and worth the money we paid for. The pool was great to relax in and the staff were very friendly. They offer free water, beach towels to rent, and anything else you might need during your stay. The room was very clean when we arrived. Bed was comfortable, AC was nice and cool, and the room was spacious. We were in the ground floor next to the pool and could chill in our own private outside area with a table and chairs. They provided us with earplugs as they said it gets noisy but we didn’t have any problems with noise during our stay. The restaurant food was delicious! Authentic Italian food. And the gelato is a must try. A bit pricey but worth trying. Location was pretty decent. We rented a car and it took us 15-20 mins drive from the port, 5mins walk to Paliton beach, and about 30 mins to Cambugahay Falls. I would advise renting a car/motorbike if you want to go around as there aren’t many tricycles that pass by, especially in the early morning/late night. They still don’t accept card so bring cash. Overall, a great stay and would highly recommend!

Nothing. Everything was great.

Our first time staying and dining at Dolce Amore and we were thoroughly impressed. We found this place by chance on booking.com and saw the raving reviews. I can definitely say that all those reviews are accurate. Room - clean, comfortable and has the amenities as advertised Staff - they are all extremely friendly, welcoming, accommodating and attentive. The service is also incredibly quick which is good because they have people queuing up to get a table. So definitely arrange a reservation if you plan to go for dinner because they are really busy Food - we had a diavolo pizza, gnocchi funghi and garlic bread (which went down way too easily), which then led us to add in an order of ham & mushroom pizza. Then to finish it all off, we had a scoop each of their homemade gelato. Everything was divine! If we weren't full from all of that, we would have definitely ended up ordering more. It is on the pricier side of the food served in Siquijor, however, it is worth every peso! This is definitely a place I would 100% recommend to anyone who plans to visit siquijor.

Nothing! Everything was perfect during our stay :)

Lovely little resort. When we arrived and were given the room downstairs, next to the road I was concerned about noise but needn’t have been. With the bathroom door shut you don’t hear a sound from the neighbours and we didn’t have any issue from the road. The staff and owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. The pool is beautiful and we loved the location. Perfect for getting to sights, beaches, restaurants, bars etc by scooter or car. The restaurant was amazing and as guests you just have to let them know you want to eat there and you will have a table at your preferred time. We loved our stay.

Just two minor things. My husband didn’t like the pillows and thought they could be a little less lumpy. The wooden porch chairs were quite hard to sit on after a while. Perhaps get some cushions or consider softer seating.
