We stayed at Summit Hotel just before Christmas, and overall, our experience was positive, though with a few drawbacks. The room itself was excellent as usual—very spacious, which was much appreciated with our two small children. The extra-large double bed and single bed, which we easily pushed together, made it convenient for everyone to sleep comfortably. On the positive side, the pool is always a great feature, especially for families with small children. The convenience of the covered walkway to Robinsons mall across the street was another major plus, making it easy to shop or grab a meal without getting wet. Overall, Summit Hotel remains a good option for families, but some improvements in handling peak season issues and managing room humidity would enhance the experience.

However, one downside was the extreme humidity in the room. The bedsheets felt damp to the touch, likely due to the heavy rainfall during our stay. This was a bit unpleasant and detracted from the otherwise comfortable room experience. Breakfast, however, was a bit of a letdown. The food trays were frequently empty, and it took a long time for them to be refilled. While we understand it was a busy holiday period, this was still a frustrating inconvenience.

free parking and few steps to the mall staffs are very polite and always smiling. rooms are practically good. rooms service is great from room cleaning and helping us to bring our luggage to our room. feel welcome everytime i enter the front door. Door crews and lobby crews are fabulous.

its sad to know that i cannot let my guest to swim for free. my friends toilet in her room is not nice. front desk upon my check out is empty it is around 3:00am our room tiles is peeling of. room phone have not nice smell and need to sanitized before use.

The location was very good next to Robinsons mall many eating options there, the staff and reception all did an amazing job at making sure we were happy there

Just 2 issues, when house keeping came sometimes forgot to give us fresh towels took the dirty ones but didnt leave clean ones so we had to call reception to get clean towels. We had trouble with the shower the water went from hot to cold then 10 seconds later be hot then go cold again we had the mixer just over the half way point but it just would not keep a constant tempature, we called maintanence came twice but it still wasnt right

Clean Room, located next to Robinson's for food and entertainment, parking included, good security. Large room with a nice view of mountains, very friendly staff restaurant and pool on the ground level.

Shower could do with a scrub. We had 3 people in the room one of the towels looked like a floor matt so we asked for another and was told we had 3 so I asked for a bath mat. Room service fixed this the next day.

Best location,opposite the mall. Staff are friendly,polite and helpful. Good size rooms

Bfast area is very small. It gets super crowded. Bfast options are varied but you have to wait for a long time to be refilled. Egg/omelette section is a bit slow & inconsistent. I ordered omelette & never got my order, the person went back to the kitchen and disappeared. Rooms are getting outdated. Some paints on walls are coming off & cracks are appearing.

Very comfortable room with all western standards. Nice and helpful staff. Moderately busy lobby but accord to the location, next to a large Shopping Mall (which happened to be extremely useful for preparing our trip). The area is clean and safe. The pool is great, even though no food or drinks can be served there (why?) but you can take from outside.

Perhaps the price, a bit on the high end. The rest all fine.

The staff from the front desk and security people were accommodating, nice, and friendly. The breakfast every morning was perfect and delicious. It felt like home.

My only concern was in the housekeeping department. I would suggest providing clean bedding sheets and pillow covers to every room. I'm saying this is because our beddings had pen marks and dirt on it. Next time, make sure that the bathroom is clean, has towels, and has enough toilet paper. Also, please clean the telephone more often because it has smells already.

Employees are awesome with over the top customer service. I was greeted by name ever day and I felt like they had genuine concern for making my stay comfortable. This is my second stay at Summit Hotel and many of the employees remembered me from the first stay. There is no words that could describe how attentive the front desk staff are. Massive smiles and gratitude from the whole staff. Best place to stay in Tacloban.

Would love a gym on site.

Close to the mall and terminal; therefore, it was very easy for us to look for a place to eat and accessible to the terminal, as we just had to commute. Staff were accommodating as well and friendly.

Small restaurant and cannot accommodate larger groups inside, so we had to sit outside with 2 infants, but still it was nice of them to put an electric fan for us outside, and I appreciated it.

I didn’t have the breakfast but it was right beside the mall so I had plenty of other choices room was clean and quiet

I asked for a bath tub in the room but the room didn’t have one as advertised and the room rate was a bit more expensive when we experienced a 12 hour brown out and my day was delayed I had to pay a higher price when I rebooked I didn’t like that part you should have the same price if the resident needs to stay another night
